I mean, they literally went out of their way to tell us he died in Tokyo Drift. They even showed him inside of the exploding car from Shaw's perspective in F&F6. They now want to walk that back and say, "nah, that didn't happen, Han somehow faked all that along with Mr. Nobody who somehow knew he'd be ambushed and crash at that exact intersection before it even happened! #Justice4Han everybody!"

It also completely undid Furious 7, which is where the series should've ended. That movie, the last movie with Paul Walker before his tragic passing and paid that heartfelt tribute to Paul Walker in the credits literally doesn't matter now.

Sadly, the franchise effectively ceased to really be about cars/racing years ago.

I've opined for a while now that they could use spin-offs as a way to keep building out the franchise while also having more car-related themes again. For example, Tej claimed way back in 2F2F that he had some 120 mph crash or something right? Couldn't there be a Tej-starring movie with him being in some kind of motorsport, be it what is now IndyCar, GT racing, etc? And Sean could be in some kind of Smokey and the Bandit-inspired road movie as he drives ... well, not a Trans Am I guess. And so on.

I've had this thought for a while now - following Hobbs & Shaw, and Han's resurrection, I'd be down for a car-culture focused spinoff in the form of Han & Sean.

I never saw Hobbs & Shaw, but otherwise I've enjoyed all the Fast movies. Momoa and Larson joining the cast is very interesting; I look forward to seeing what they bring to the mix. Also, director Louis Leterrier helmed one of my favorite early Marvel films, The Incredible Hulk...so I'm curious to see what he does here.

I’ve enjoyed the series. Love 5 & 7. But man…I love OTT in movies, however, Fast 9 was really, REALLY, bad imho. Didn’t think Cena was good and the movie really seemed like an ego trip for Vin.

Pulling down the building by pulling two chains, literally taking on 10-15 villains at once; holding them all back, and the hilarious fight scene with Cena.

I’m hoping the pull it back in a little bit. At least back to Fast Five level absurdity, lol

It isn’t, the trailer has already leaked on Twitter.

I do unequivocally love these films, but I do think they have run out of road now after seeing the trailer. It’s probably a good thing they’re calling it a day after these two (hopefullly).
