Those sources you’ve linked aren’t exactly unbiased towards the military, LOL. I think it’s great that the film industry and Pentagon work together like this. Excellent. I’m glad this is how it works.

Last year's Firestarter film is actually good. And the actress who played Charlie wasn't awful, despite what the Razzies thought. If anything Efron was the weakest part of the film.

Then it's just "memba this stuff from some of the good movies?" and an orgiastic climax for Marvel fanboys.

I can't believe it made so much money and is so highly rated.

I just pretend that Infinity War is the ending and Thanos won. It's better that way.
Glad I ain't the only one.

Axiom: Any movie series that stoops to "Back to the Future-ing That Sh*t" to get out of a self-inflicted plot cul-de-sac has reached its nadir and should just die already. It's lazy hack-work on the level of the old "It Was All a Dream" chestnut. Any writer worth his paycheck should be ashamed to ever go near it. If the only way you can think of to solve a plot problem is to go back to the past and undo it you are officially a sh*t writer and should be run out of the business.

This is why I can't stand most of post-The Voyage Home Star Trek -- every other episode/movie seems to give up and settle for a "fix the past" band-aid.

The MCU has sucked since before the two-part Avengers movies.

I agree with the first comment and can't say anything about the second. I've never seen a Harry Potter film.

Everything, Everywhere at Once is a terrible movie. Can't understand the love. Just a lot of fast edits and zero character development. Almost as bad as the director's previous movie Swiss Army Man. I love Michelle Yeoh but not this.

Exactly. It's dogsh!t writing. But they didn't care because they knew Marvel fanboys would go see it anyway.

But it makes me wonder if it was actually written well and was actually fun like Infinity War, if it could have made like $4 or $5 billion or something at the box office.

You like what you like and you are entitled to your (unpopular) opinion but I view Endgame as a tribute movie and pure fan service to the people that watched 10 years of MCU. For me, Endgame isn’t in my top ten MCU movies but I like it and glad I saw it.

I hear ya - My stance is unpopular regarding the Potter films. I have tried viewing them a few times and just get bored. Feels like they could have cut it to like 3-4 movies. I dunno. Just me. .

To me that seems to be putting too much importance ontop a specific of the plot in films which really do not focus very strongly on atempting at kind of serious sci fi. I spose Voyage Home does "somewhat" but really its a film thats mostly focused on its characters and End Game I would say even moreso.

I think it actually ends up as a strength that the film doesn't focus strongly on the mechanics of how to "fix" things and instead focuses on its characters drama which I think it pulls off very well. I think that was likely the main considering for going with time travel, that it would allow them to play up character stories more effectively.

Another unpopular one for me: The Avengers films are a chore to get through and I didnt even bother with like the last few. Its just so much and so ridiculous. Then I find out that they went super-cheese with time travel conveniences. Barf.

I much prefer some of the individual character film series' to the "group" thing.

There, I said it.
