I think the innovations and iconic role excuse the pacing problems of those films for people. The first film is definitely much more watchable than the sequel, I had to grind my way through part 2. I think I broke it up in 4 parts

Nope - theyre making a TV series of events that occured before the films which is fine with me. Anyone that even dared to try and remake Jacksons almost perfect trilogy may as well just forget about it.

This is the unpopular opinions thread, not the wrong opinions thread.

Not commenting one way or the other on any political or social issue, but the current presidency has been so eventful, I have to believe it is leading up to a huge dramatic movie and/or documentary. Maybe something along the lines of the OJ: Made in America documentary.

We already have that every night, it's called The Rachel Maddow Show.

Alien3 is a great film. Both the Theatrical/Assembly cut.

I certainly hope so. I'd love to get a more faithful adaptation and some better casting.

I like that you think both cuts are great. When people start saying the assembly cut is far superior to the theatrical cut I roll my eyes. They are both good for different reasons, I happen to prefer the Queenburster ending though.

Alien 3 is not even better than Attack of the Clones. It certainly isn't better than The Last Jedi. I'd give the slight edge to the Holiday Special over Alien 3.

I love The Last Jedi, but I'd take Alien 3 over Force Awakens, Rogue One and definitely over Solo & Attack of the Clones.

The only one of those I've seen is TFA, but I'd take Alien 3 over that, easily. But I will be the first to admit that I have a much higher opinion of A3 than the vast majority of people do.

Rogue One is better than the entire Alien franchise.

The Alien franchise isn't even that great. The first one is the only one of any significance. The second one was fun. Prometheus was decent. The rest are pretty bad. The first Predator was great. Predators was decent, but the Alien vs Predator movies were terrible.
