I predict it will make what the new Mortal Kombat made worldwide which was like 86 million. I believe it will make that when all is said and done worldwide.

Sony took forever to release Escape Room 2 on digital. I wonder if they'll wait on this as well.

Hope it does well worldwide and I hope Johannes Roberts wants/gets to come back for a sequel (and more).

I really liked it. It knew what it was and I thought it was a lot of fun. Sure, it needed about 10-20 minutes to flesh the characters out but it also felt like a Carpenter film where ethe characters are more so defined by little things.

Yeah that album is awesome, has a really unique sound to it that they never did since. It's hard for me to rank their stuff because it's all so good but I'd say Long Gone Before Daylight is their ultimate masterpiece, Super Extra Gravity is really close also. I know The Thirteenth Floor has a cool Cardigans track in it.

Even though I didn't think it was too great I hope this can get a sequel.

I love Resident Evil and just want them to get it right one time. If it's another reboot in 5 years that's fine, but I know someone can get this right.

My brother ended up tagging along at the last minute and he didn't want to watch this so I saw Eternals instead. Definitely seeing it next week though since I don't know how long this will be showing.

You better act fast, it maybe gone after this weekend. I noticed that starting Thursday, it will be limited to only two showings per day.

The Regal near me will still have 4 showings early next week. But yeah I'm not going to wait around to to catch it on the big screen.

I'll see this when it comes out on streaming. Too focused on going to go see West Side Story and Spider-Man: No Way Home right now.

They definitely should've saved this for late January/early February. All these big movies coming out getting 2-6 screens are eating it alive.

It's a generally entertaining version of the Resident Evil 1 and 2 games compressed into 1 movie with two separate teams tackling different locations. I thought it worked well enough, and the focus on the horror was nicely done and effective compared to the Milla versions of RE. I got the sense that the writers and team cared about trying to more accurately represent the Resident Evil series to a degree, but not in all ways, as would be expected from most adaptations. 3/5

If they could’ve made the date, a September release like originally planned would’ve been best, there was nothing that month after Shang-Chi. But I’m glad they stuck with Thanksgiving, we don’t need more releases getting delayed

I saw it yesterday and I have to say I liked it, even though there were some inaccuracy. I don't understand why the characters gave Leon a bad time by tormenting him. The mansion's main hall looks identical to the one in 1 Remake. I couldn't tell from the dark rooms/hallways if the rest of the mansion looks game accurate.

Looking at the end credits, I can bet they will make another movie.

I will be definitely be getting this movie in 4K with my Best Buy gift cards I'm expecting for Christmas when the movie comes out.

You have Scream 2022, The Black Phone and The Devil's Light (another exorcism movie) out that time. Plus Moonfall comes out start of Feb.

Watched it last night. Giving it a 2.5/5. Despite the relatively low rating I still enjoyed it for the most part. Been a huge fan of the games since the original on the PS1 so I definitely had some issues.

They made Leon into a fool just for comedy relief I guess. Yeah he's a rookie cop like in RE2 but that doesn't mean he has to be made into a half wit who doesn't know how to work a shotgun.

They also made the wrong move in the first place of combining the first two games into one movie. They should have kept this entirely focused on the mansion, there was plenty of material to make a good horror film just from the events of the first game.

With that being said, I don't agree with some of the over the top hate I've seen these past few days. Especially over at another very popular website/message board. Some of the comments over there for this film and the recent Mortal Kombat are ridiculous if not at times hilarious. There is wanting better movies made based on a game, comic, etc that you really really like and then there is just not having grown up much in life as far as being Too much of a fanboy. A bit more of the latter over there.

All in all the movie like the recent MK film (and I'm a die hard MK fan!) was entertaining enough to where I don't really dislike them to be honest. Just wished they had avoided a few things that would have greatly improved the films.

I went to watch this last night, I voted 4 because I actually quite liked it, i have to agree with the comments about Leon, I recently watched the 3 cgi films with him in and he was quite good in them, why couldn’t that carry over into the new one.

I’d say half the attendees left as soon as the credits started so they missed out on a certain something.

Looking forward to the next one if they make it.
