Just an FYI: This will only be opening in 1,400 theaters next weekend.

Likely yet another mismanaged release by Lionsgate, like Clerks 3...

I don't expect it to be great, but I've always enjoyed movies where people are isolated and facing a life-or-death situation. I'm planning to see it this weekend.

Somehow my theater isn't getting this this weekend. Recently we've gotten Resurrection when it was in 97 theaters, I Love My Dad when it's in 115, and Gone in the Night in 136. But not this movie that's supposed to open in 1,200+. We do have showtimes for it starting the following Thursday though. I'm guessing it probably expands to 2,000+ that weekend.

Lionsgate’s ‘Fall’ Used Deepfake-Style Tech to Change 30-Plus F-Bombs, Bringing Movie From R to PG-13 Rating

If the budget was only $3M they should've kept the R-rating.

Even if it somehow fails to make that money back in theatres it could easily do it by lending it to a streamer for awhile after.

And still the PG-13 version contains "strong language" showing how idiotic the whole thing is.

It's a '15' in UK for "strong injury detail, brief violence, sustained threat". No mention of language so it's presumably the PG-13 edit.

They should release an unrated version on home video.

They're probably taking advantage of the one F-word (non-sexually, of course) per PG-13 rating.

MPAA really needs to lighten up and start letting PG-13 movies use at least 5.

I can't think of the movie but I'm pretty sure a recent PG-13 one got to use 3 F-words?

I know this is hard to accept, but hearing the word f*** repeatedly does not make a movie better.

It is a myth that there is only one allowance of the F word in PG-13 movies.

They should judge it not on volume (which is arbitrary and silly) but on context and tone.

PG-13: F**k off, you idiot!
PG-13: I lost my f**king keys!
R: I'm going to f**k your sister!
R: I'm going to tear your f**king head off!
R: Don't move, motherf**ker!
