There's a FB group for VAVA owners. Someone posted this. It seems to work ok even just being up on a plain white wall.

The 3D glasses came today. it works quite nicely!
I own both the white Vava and the Optoma CinemaX P1 and to be honest I'm considering putting the Optoma on sale because I'm more pleased with the Vava picture quality

I found a 4K HDR demo
it blows away every single 4K disc I've tried so far.

I want my movies to look like this.

@RockyIII, I agree.

I'm also optimistic for Hisense's new 100L5F. The spec's list better color coverage of rec. 709 and P3 and at the list price of $3,999 with the included 100" UST, ALR fixed screen it's priced very competitively.

I don't sell Vava or Hisense, but look forward to seeing and comparing these UST projectors next to my LG HU85LA and Sony VZ1000ES UST projectors.

I was very surprised to find out that I prefer Vava picture quality vs Optoma P1. And that's comparing on the same Grandview DY3 screen!
Sure Optoma P1 has more menu options, it's quieter, and it produces less heat. It also has betted hdmi audio passthrough. But when it comes to sheer PQ, I gotta give the nod to Vava for both 1080p content and 4K.
The Hisense looks promising and so does the new Epson UST model (forgot the name).

Those settings are absolutely awful and they don't make any sense. Why would you want such low contrast and such high sharpness on any display??

Which settings do you recommend for the person who asked?
Those are the only custom settings I've found, so I shared them.
As my current display choice is far from ideal, I'm not going to pretend that anything that looks ok to me is correct for anyone.

I've only had this thing a few days. It's my first projector and I know it isn't top of the line, but it's far better than my 4K/3D tv. When I do eventually get a screen it'll be that much better.

This is generally a pretty helpful place (the forum as a whole) and I'm surprised there aren't more people offering their opinions.
