Elfen Lied, Wagnaria!!, and Kannagi are the other recomposites I know of, quite a shame we'll never get the ones for Wagnaria!! and Kannagi (Bandai DVDs are plagued with banding) because Aniplex. Only hope is FUNimation is allowed to touch them, or Anime Limited does something in the UK.

Kannagi Episode 2 uses the DVD version and not the broadcast version. Normally, you'd want the opposite, but not here. Because a little b*tch of a director named Yamakan was upset that Episode 2 was better animated and had WAY more frames of animation than his episode (Ep1), he used his directorial privilege and had animation frames removed to make it less smooth. What was once one of the best sakuga episodes ever, is still a great sakuga episode, but a good deal less so.

I still have my old CPM DVD copy and it needs an upgrade. I want Discotek to pick up both Tank Police anime titles because the Sentai Filmworks DVD of DTP2 has no dub. Discotek would put the effort to restore the dub for the second Tank Police anime.

The Japanese release of Kannagi isn't too expensive, and I have subs for it.

Personally I feel BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo is one of the best sets Discotek had ever released. Even given that they crammed 39 episodes on a single blu-ray and 37 on another, the quality still looks really good for an SD BD set.

The extras are almost on the level of an AniPlex release as well. How many anime have video game commercials as extras when the games never came to the states!? They could’ve just included the recap episode, but they went above and beyond.

Textless openings and endings
Vintage home video credits from the short lived Illumitoon DVDs (of which I have autographed by Richard Epcar himself)
Vintage TV credits from when it aired on Toonami
Vintage Japanese commercials
Japanese character profiles
Video game commercials
Art gallery

What more could a BoBoBo Superfan ask for!? I suppose 24 more episodes to properly close out the show, but dreams will be dreams... after all only 4Kids ever achieved that with Ultimate Muscle... Shinetsu will never see an animated incarnate...

So if it's a title that someone really wants, they should probably go to the trouble and expense of tracking down the CPM release; it might never be released again.
The rights apparently ended up at a non-media company. They have absolutely no idea if they own it because it's NOT something they would ever have anything to do with, but they apparently bought up the liquidated bundled assets of the original rights holder, to get specific assets like real estate or machinery, and they ended up with DTP and whatever else was bundled, though I doubt the actual media assets are in their possession at this point.

Yeah, Sunrise has not yet announced plans to remaster anything but the series, so we're waiting to see what they do. (Lord knows we have plenty else to do.)
