Perfection. One of my two G's finally being released (the other being the original Guyver series and OVA).

I'm super excited for Rose of Versailles and Hajime no Ippo on BD. I also plan to pick up Black Heaven and Fujiko Mine.

I'm kinda surprised they didn't opt for SD-BD for Ippo but I'll take a nice upscale. Hope this leads to the later seasons of Ippo getting picked up.

I'm even luckier. I got mine when it first came out, ages and ages ago. I'll still take an upgrade tho.

Plan on getting:
Lupin Movies
Cleopatra/Thousand and One Nights (These movies seem too delightfully weird to pass up.)
Project A-Ko
Case Closed Movies
Urusei Yatsura Movies

Maybe:
GinRei
The Woman Named Fujiko Mine (I got the Funimation release before it went out of print and I honestly wasn't a huge fan of this one.)

Probably not going to happen; the rights to the original Dominion Tank Police OVAs are lost in limbo.

Justin posted comments on this at one point; the rights were tracked back to a particular company, but that company insists that they don't have any such rights and know nothing about it. So the apparent owner can't/won't provide the rights, and there's no one else to ask.

So if it's a title that someone really wants, they should probably go to the trouble and expense of tracking down the CPM release; it might never be released again.

Huh. I know it's not my money on the line and my company's reputation in the noose - but if nobody knows who has the rights, then nobody would be lining up to sue! Public Domain, baby!

I just hope that Discotek will eventually release all the extra violent former Urban Vision titles like Bio Hunter, Twilight of the Dark Princess, and the big daddy of them all Golgo 13: Queen Bee and I'll truly be a happy man.

For anyone wondering how The Rose of Versailles looks on Blu-ray, it's gorgeous. The Discotek release will be very much worth it. Still wonder how they managed to get it, it was a miracle Nozomi got it in the first place as it took ages, and it was once considered impossible to license, so when it did get licensed, people were in absolute shock.

All in for Rose of Versailles! Never seen it before but it's right up my alley.

Politics, action and romance, all in the classic over the top shoujo style. Definitely a must see

I'm interested in Lum the Forever. I heard that was even weirder than Beautiful Dreamer

s-CRY-ed is a very early digipaint show from 2001 and has a Japanese Blu-ray release, so any Blu-ray release would be upscaled yes. There's been about only 10 or so shows over the years that were recomposited rather than upscaled.

What are the rest? I know Gurren Lagann is one of them.
