Returned the above items and bought the below after finding out the front doors in my Tundra can accommodate aftermarket 6x9s with an install depth of less than 3", which only the Pioneer qualify so I grabbed a set from the same lineup. I'm so disappointed in Crutchfield who steered me in the wrong direction, stating that aftermarket 6x9s won't work in my truck, and even the Pioneer below are listed as will not fit on their website.

Anyway, as much as I love Rockford Fosgate, I'm very impressed with the Pioneer speakers! Never thought I could get pretty good and relatively articulate bass from 6x9s, and the 6.5" in the back of the cab are capable of hitting me in the chest as well!

Pioneer TS-A692F 6x9 4-way speakers

Pioneer TS-G650 6 1/2" 2-way speakers

I bought an almond milk honey latte at Starbucks.

I've never had almond milk before (I think) and I'm starting to regret it. I don't even like the taste but I'm going to finish it, come hell or high water.

Another cool thrift shop find.

I found this RCMP rain suit in new condition (although a name written inside the pant cuff tells me it was issued). It appears unworn.

It's made by a Canadian military contractor and has a "Dermoflex" membrane. Dermoflex is a Gore-Tex like material.

The color is odd. I've seen surplus RCMP clothing and it's generally blue. I have a blue RCMP parka. Even their muskrat hats have blue dyed leather. The Olive Drab color and arrangement of the suit leads me to believe this may have had a tactical purpose as opposed pulling over drunk drivers.

Only $13.70US.

People who've noticed many previous posts know that I collect old sewing machines. One of the thrift stores that USED to offer good deals, suddenly decided that every old sewing machine was a valuable collectible and started overpricing every piece of junk that came through the door. They slapped two hundred dollar price tags on thirty dollar crap.

Then I found this. They had slapped a big price tag on it....just like every other old machine. But this was different. This actually was a VERY valuable, collectible machine.

This is a tiny machine known as a Featherweight. In an era when machines were made of cast iron and often weighed near 40lbs, the Featherweight was a true portable: 11 1/4lbs, made of cast aluminum and it came in a carrying case. It has all steel running gear and was built to very tight tolerances. This one was built in late 1950 and bears the limited edition 1851-1951 Singer Centennial badge.

Happy National Pretzel Day!

Gonna buy me a pretzel and a frosted lemonade at Auntie Anne's. Free pretzel, not so free frosted lemonade.

Requires the app of course. I think you have to have the app before today to get the reward loaded to the Auntie Anne's app, but I'm not entirely sure...

Tangentially related to National Pretzel Day - I was browsing Wetzel's Pretzels website to see if I needed the app for their free pretzels today (3 PM to close), and their website has pictures of random celebrities eating or carrying Wetzel's Pretzels at the mall or outdoors.

I found it to be quite funny that they managed to capture Elon Musk with his hands full of Wetzel's Pretzels. Just an aside.

Last purchase... would have been 5 bottles of red wine last week.

Inexpensive Bordeaux & Burgundy from well known wineries + a Medeira, just to get a taste of what they are like.

I know what to expect from the Medeira from couple of Ports I had maybe ~5+ yrs ago.

Gotta keep the truck looking pretty once I get the lift installed. And also my backyard now that the sunny weather is approaching.
