I've always thought this with everything I collect. If I don't plan to watch, play or utilize it in some way then why would I buy it?

It is pretty different planning to watch something and actually watching something. I plan or at least know theirs a percentage chance I will want to watch everything I buy but you can save a massive amount of money by buying things at certain times instead of just the second you want to watch somthing.

Last year I re bought like 10 or 15 of disney 4k steel books for 5 to 10 dollars and have yet to rewatch most of them. I might have only ended up watching 20% of them so far but they only cost me around 20% of what they would have if I bought them on impulse without sales.

That's my general buying plan. I buy films I want to own when a good price presents itself. I don't tend to worry to much about it if I don't have time to watch something I own right away since i can always watch when i do have the time if i own it without paying a ridiculous premium for it.

I could have watched every film in my collection if I only bought things I immediately planned to watch but then my collection would be 10 to 20% its current size while costing nearly the same amount as it does now.

Yes I buy movies to watch them. No way i could justify leaving a huge pile unwatcbed.
