If thats the case then F that. Its a Warner back title, not even Fox where you expect it to be $30

Well, I'm still holding off hoping a 2 for $40 will come down the pipe sooner or later.

The only coverslips for Blu-Ray I've seen are:

Spiderman 3
Pirates of the Carribean 3: At World's End
SAW II
SAW III
Not even close actually.

Look:

Edit: looks like the list was already posted.

I do agree that if the sequel is getting a slip cover, then the first one should, too. That is annoying.

You seem fired up, perhaps I missed the sarcasm?
No, there's no sarcasm. If they release a sequel with a slipcover, put one on the original. Otherwise, they look odd together on my shelf. I wouldn't say I'm fired up, but I am miffed.

Also, I misspoke when questioning how much it brought in at the box office. I have many of the titles that were mentioned to the contrary(i.e Jumper)

So, perhaps the more appropriate question is what is the criteria for giving a movie a slipcover? Someone earlier mentioned a special release, however that doesnt seem to be the case.

Meh, I take all the slipcovers off my BD's. I didn't with DVD, but I don't like how they look on the BD case. I put them away in case I ever resell them but personally I can do without all of them. Maybe if they made them a tad smaller or something.

Seriously, you get fired up about this?!

I don't know that there is a 100% specific set of rules.

Generally speaking, slip covers tend to be attached to movies coming out for the first time just after their theatrical release. Granted, this hasn't been as common on Blu-Ray as it has been on DVD, though lately it does seem like that trend is starting to grow on the Blu-Ray side of things, likely because Blu-Ray in general is growing.

Also, sometime new special edition releases of movies can get slip covers. The Mummy movies come to mind. Smaller catalog releases tend not to have them. Though in general it's at the discretion of the studio releasing the movie to determine what the qualifications for giving a movie a slip cover is.

That being said, I do wish that both Harold and Kumar movies had the slip cover.

Are you having a laugh? IS HE HAVING A LAUGH?

man- I said before, I'd just like to know the reasoning for why certain titles get a slipcover and others dont. Maybe it's just me, but I would package an original movie and its sequel in the same style.

Nope, it's the second film.

It was confirmed at Comic Con that a third is coming though.
