Default PS3 external harddrive... 2 partitions = 1 NTFS and 1 FAT32 ????

Hey all, this site seems to answer all my questions with no problems.
hope you guys can help me out with this.

I have a seagate 32gb formatted to NTFS, when i plug it into my ps3 it does not read it. I know that i need a external hard drive formatted to FAT32 for the ps3 to read it.

i do need the external harddrive to be able to accept files larger than 4gb, so is there anyway to format the external harddrive so it has 2 partitions, 1 that is NTFS so i can put files larger than 4gb in them, and 1 that is FAT32 so the ps3 will read them ???

thanks in advance for the help

Sure you can. Plug in your USB hard drive into your PC then right click on your my computer icon and left click on "manage". Choose storage then disk management (Local) and you should see your drive. Right click for options and partition the drive and choose how much you want to be Fat 32 then format that partition. Do the same with what you left allocated for NTFS and format that and you're done.

and thanx for the quick reply, love this site.

also do i have to delete the present partition and start with an unallocationed partition ????
