Yes congrats to the Nuggets. Lakers in every game but just couldn't make the right plays at the right times. But like Joeker said, helluva rollercoaster season. Good foundation for next season but just need that one extra piece, X factor to put them over the hump.
If the Heat sweep tomorrow, its going to be a long break for both teams until the June 1 start of the Finals. |

Frustrating to not close out any of the games, and last night was a real tease. But the Nuggets played very well and in spite of that, we were in every game. There was only a 24 total point differential in the series, which might be a record low (or close to it) for a sweep.
Lebron mulling retirement, but we all know he's just tired and frustrated from how the game and series went down and will be back. Hopefully back to 100% as well. I think they should just run it back. Add a scorer and size if they can, but definitely keep Reaves, Rui and Vando. They will only get better. You don't need to break up a team just because you don't win a chip, especially one that overperformed like the Lakers did. Should pivot next year to making Reaves the primary PG instead of Lebron. Start building around him and let Lebron be the playmaker when he rests. |

I feel bad for Lebron because he is the only one that truly came to play last night and most of this series, and he just can't do it by himself against a team like Denver, especially at his age. Make no mistake, the reason the Lakers got swept is because of Davis. Pretty much every one of these games were close and very winnable for the Lakers. If Davis was more engaged and hungry this could have gone the distance. Unfortunately for them that wasn't the case. It's sad that a guy in his prime doesn't have the drive to want to win more.

Like Bruce said above, let's just run it back with most of the team plus a real big who can really back up AD. We have the 17th pick, and I am sure we can get a good rotation guy in the draft regardless of position. With a proper training camp with this group of guys, I think we can be just as competitive next season. |

This playoffs just makes me realize how mental the game is. Davis is who he is, he can't bring it every night like Lebron can, is not a consistent player. Would have been great to get Beast mode Davis in this series, but instead it was beast mode Jokic.

Keeping Rui and Reaves are top priority. The way Pelinka screwed up the Caruso deal still gives me concern that he may screw up one of these though. And I agree, Bron isn't retiring, just exhaustion and probably frustration talking. I know he has a lot of other revenue sources but he would be walking away from a lot of money on the table if he retired. Quote:

whatever the case, look for the Kyrie to LA rumors to continue to gain steam until he signs wherever he's going to sign. |

It's a damn shame that we couldn't sustain our first half intensity in the second half yesterday. I thought that we may lack the killer instinct to close out the Celts yesterday ahead of the game, and the boys proved me right. Unfortunately. This can't happen in game 5 again because the pressure will squarely be on us after that. Adebayo's 10 points, 5 rebounds also can't happen again. We need our big dogs to produce every single game. 15 turnovers and 25% shooting from 3 point range is a recipe for disaster. You're not going to win many games with stats like that. We need to go back to what worked in games 1 and 2 if we are to close them out in game 5 in Boston. It's time to get nasty.

I didn't like that the Heat let the Celtics get two straight wins and lose the 3 - 0 lead. The Heat also went 6 games with the Knicks, so I am confident that Miami will beat Boston tomorrow as if the Heat go back to playing good, I don't have a lot of reason to think that Miami will lose game 6. I hope that Gabe Vincent can return tomorrow as well.
