Nice that it's a revival and not a reboot. Saved by the Bell just isn't the kind of show that works these days, it'll mostly be nostalgia driven viewers like Fuller House.

I can't see this winning big among NEW fans, but perhaps do very well with older fans who would enjoy re-visiting their childhood show and characters.

And, to be honest, I know it wouldn't feel right without Screech at least making a cameo appearance, but dear God...please not as a series regular.

Problem is Dustin Diamond has alienated the entire cast. I cant see them wanting him to be apart of this at all. Granted the perfect role for him would be Zacks chief of staff. I wouldn't mind them tying it all in with Tori and the College years either. Bringing back Anne Tremco as a lobbyist, and like Kiersten Warren as Slaters ex wife would be great roles for them.

I hope Kiersten Warren is a part of this somehow, she was one of the best things about the College Years series!

I don't see this working at all, other tv shows from the 90's like Boy Meets World and Full House have gotten reboots and they weren't any good.

Actually both reboots were not bad, the best episodes of course were the ones where the original casts showed up.

Girl Meets World was better than Fuller House. Fuller House was fine but just came off too cheesy.

Sooo yeah apparently Mark-Paul Gosselaar never got the memo or invite that he was in this lol

Quote:
Saved by the Bell may be coming back, but Zack Morris didn't get the memo -- at least not yet.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played the blonde-haired high schooler in the popular '90s teen sitcom, revealed that he was never invited to participate in the upcoming revival series, which will return original cast members Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano. The Saved by the Bell revival will premiere on NBCUniversal's forthcoming streaming service, Peacock.

"I read it in the trades just like everybody else...," Gosselaar told Variety. "Honestly, I was never approached. I woke up to the news this morning with a kind of ‘huh’ response."

Gosselaar, who stars on ABC's Black-ish spinoff, Mixed-ish, left the door open about the possibility of reprising his iconic character, saying he's "always been interested, of course." But being that the actor is contractually bound to the Disney/ABC family (which launches its own streaming service, Disney+, in November), it may complicate matters if he were to also appear on a competing network's streaming service.

"I'm on ABC, so it doesn't really fit into that considering Disney+, so I understand the business side of things," the 45-year-old actor said. "But I had no idea it was that far along."

probably because his head grew bigger than Barry Bonds. I think he took HGH or something or he just got really puffy and bloated from drinking.
