Looks like the mods are deleting the nasty comments in all the UV shutting down threads. Some people have been downright rude to others.
Regarding UV ending, I am not happy but life goes on. I'll do what I can to preserve my movies in my account, no need to freak out imo. But thats just me, YMMV. And here is Vudu's current position. Take it how you will. https://vudu.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/410 Last edited by bru20; 01-31-2019 at 04:24 PM. |

so what movies you guys own UV that's not available in Vudu?
I have a couple of movies in HD in UV, but they are only available in VUDU in SD molly an american girl one night stand I used to own some Sony UHD that are not available in VUDU, but I have contacted Sony pictures to exchange UV rights for MA rights (they send new code after removing movie from UV locker). |

All licenses will be held in flixster which is being ran by Warner Bros for the time being. I reached out this morning before the UV site went down and spoke to Flixster support. The main issue is if MA launches in the UK it likely won't back port UV titles unless they do something special. Over the last 6 months the UV aspect of digital copies was phased out (branding wise) but it still gave you a UV license. The only difference will be UK UVs/Digital copies (not itunes ect) now redeemed won't port to the US services as they won't be linked to the UK Flixster/WB library. So they are near worthless considering Flixster playback support/quality but we have to pray on MA pulling through. I think it will just be WB using Flixster in future until MA comes to the UK and it is sunset. Last edited by IronSoldier; 01-31-2019 at 04:50 PM. |

If you have an UltraViolet Library linked to Vudu, rest assured that all of your movies and TV that are linked via UltraViolet will continue to be accessible at Vudu leading up to the shutdown and after, including titles purchased from other retailers that are imported into Vudu from your UltraViolet Library. Giving some small hope that at least Vudu will try to retain movies from other providers. Last edited by crackedknee; 02-01-2019 at 12:15 AM. |

I have maybe half a dozen like this and have held off exchanging for MA codes in the hopes Vudu would add them in 4K. I guess I will monitor what happens and if it isn't happening and Sony is still willing to give new codes (not really sure about that with all their changes) I will go that route. But I do know people with a lot more 4K "stuck" in UV so the former route would be a lot better for all.

I ALWAYS LINKED EVERYTHING TO MY 2 MAIN ACCOUNTS VUDU/iTUNES. WHEN MOVIES ANYWHERE LAUNCH LAST YEAR I LINKED EVERY ACCOUNT WITH MA. NOW WE ALL ARE LOOKING TO SEE WHEN PARAMOUNT/MGM/LIONSGATE WILL JOIN THE LEAGUE.

I guess 4K foreign codes that are are HDX only on VUDU (especially Sony) will be gone forever (unless VUDU comes up with a system of recording your UV rights and not just transferring these titles in the highest quality available at the time).

Well, that's not unexpected ...
Also, wasn't the Sony Movie Store supposed to close today (1/31/2019)? Has anyone heard anything about the UHD movies that were available in this store but only HD on Vudu? I guess if Sony closes down we can forget about that ... |

I'd include Amazon in that list. But yes, that's what some of us have been saying for years.
