Right Stuf and Sunrise will release Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket on DVD in late 2016 with English and Japanese audio. Bandai Entertainment previously released the six-episode OVA in North America.

The Mobile Suit Gundam F91 film is slated for release on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc in early 2017 with both English and Japanese audio. Bandai Entertainment previously released the film on DVD.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory is slated for release on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in early 2017 with both English and Japanese audio. Bandai Entertainment previously released the 13-episode OVA series in North America.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Afterglow of Zeon is slated for release on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in early 2017 with Japanese audio and English subtitles. The film has not previously been released in North America.

Huge surprise to see 0083 on BD for us! My inside source says Victory BD will be announced this coming Wednesday, with Gundam Reconguista in G maybe along side it.

0080 will be released on DVD, but currently there aren't any plans for a Blu-ray as of yet. As for The 08th MS Team, we can't comment on it as of yet, but please keep an eye out for future announcements!

0083: Afterglow of Zeon is a bit of a surprise. While the completist in me is rather satisfied, there is no new footage in the film unlike some of the other compilations. So the whole thing is rather superfluous.

Maybe their French colleagues will next week at Japan Expo in Paris. Apparently the reason the Anime Limited Zeta Gundam release got delayed is because of French subtitles, and with the French translations that need to be made it's probably gonna take years to catch up with Rightstuf.

On the positive side, French Anime Limited releases with English subtitles are often cheaper and have no BBFC logo polluting the packaging.

0080 is DVD only in Japan as well. That is why it is DVD only here.

I think the "if it has a dub..." thing was just someone on these forums taking a guess, and not an actual rule they are going by. Take ZZ for example, the assumption on these forums was that no dub equaled DVD only, but that wasn't the case as ZZ is on Blu-ray.

That rule was thrown out with ZZ and the Build Fighter Series. Heck with the announcement of 0083 coming to BD here (Was releases in JP on BD 6 months ago. The long grace period between the Japanese release and ours might be thrown out the window too.

Even with a few of it's plot issues, it's held up rather well. It and Macross Plus IMO are the pinnacles of 90s mecha anime.

Quick question does anyone know if the import version of mobile suit gundam thunderbolt December sky that rightstuf is selling is the complete edition as I want to get this as a birthday present for friend and thought the complete edition looked pretty nice

The import from Rightstuf is the "complete" edition. Thunderbolt were 4 short ONA. December Sky is the all 4 ONA compiled into a Director's Cut Movie.

So happy 0083 is coming on Blu-ray! That is my favorite Gundam series. Never seen the movie one either, so excited to see that as well. Kinda of a bummer 0080 is DVD only, guess there's no blu-ray in Japan yet? I have the DVD so will refrain from that one.
