My vote is for IMAX Deep Sea 3D but it's not on the poll.

Resident Evil isn't on there either. It's not released yet, but it is a 2010 release.

Unless you just don't like science fiction-fantasy, AVATAR is clearly the best 3D movie out there.

Tougher to pick the runner up. I'm really liking Despicable Me right now. It's a hard decision. There are a lot of great ones.

It will be tough to top Avatar anytime soon. Maybe the sequel.

I only own 5 of the listed titles, so no vote yet. I have seen others (Avatar, Resident Evil Afterlife) released in 2010, but would prefer to vote based on the home theater viewing experience.

My vote is Legend of the Guardians.

Day to date general retail. Native 3D. Great animation.

I also voted for Legends as I can't vote for Avatar since it is limited release. As was mentioned Legends is open to all and has great animation and for me it had a decent story as well. Great all round movie. If I want to showcase my set up... Legends of the Guardian will be my first choice.

I even have a 4D surprise for whomever comes over next. During the amazing 3D flying through the rain scene I am going to use a spray bottle filled with water and spritz the viewers in the second row... should be pretty amusing.

Open Season or Avatar. Not sure which yet as I have only watched bits a pieces of both, but those 2 are clearly the best IMO from the ones I have seen.

Alice In Wonderland hands down gets best 2d to 3d conversion.

Avatar would only have deserved the award if it had been a general retail version with the extended cut and extras from the collecters edition. A barebones, shorter cut, exclusive release doesn't deserve its praise no matter how good the 3D presentation is.

Best movie on the format - How to Train Your Dragon
Best overall 3D release - Legend of the Guardians

Is How To Train Your Dragon 3D general release? Unless you're just referring to blu. Cuz I sure can't find it. Not on Amazon anyway. I think it's one of those friggin' exclusives.

You better choose something besides HtTYD then since it is not a general release either. I dont think this should matter though since we are just voting for best overall 3d release no matter if its exclusive or not.

When I made my comment about Avatar, it was just my feeling that it is hard for the masses to comment about titles that are limited release. My general opinion is that it is an unfair practice that is hurting the industry rather than helping it.

Now had I been one of the fortunate few that have seen it, and had I thought it was worthy, I would have voted for it. So, go ahead and vote for the limited release movies if you deem them worthy but don't knock those that may take a couple points off their score for going the limited release route.

Legends is still my fav.

Talking Not on the List

Ok, I know this is going to be groan-inducing, but [Friday the 13th Part 3-D] was an awesome display of 3-D. Yeah the picture quality (clarity, detail, etc.) wasn't so good & you have to put up with the old red & blue glasses, but the 3-D was very well done. Many of those shots came way beyond the screen & up to the viewer. I thought it was nicely done.

That doesn't count since it's not yet been made into an official 3D Blu-ray. It would be cool if they did though.

I have the old crappy 3D version on standard DVD.

Duh but it is the best movie on the format but far from the best release. Theres a difference

Best 3D picture quality - Avatar
Best movie on Blu-Ray 3D - How to Train Your Dragon
Best overall release - Legend of the Guardians The Owls of Ga'hoole
