I'll start with my problems: it's about half an hour too long and there are parts of the plot that rehash the first film. Also Zoe Saldana's character Neytiri is not given very much to do, which is disappointing considering she was the secondary protagonist last time.

That said, I thought it was still a pretty good film overall and enjoyed it more than the original. The characters had a bit more depth to them so I felt more engaged in the story this time around.
Agreed that Neytiri needed a larger role in this film along with Jake Sully. They were supporting characters this time.

Dang, if I knew it was going to be considered a flop in 5 days I wouldn’t have even bothered putting this poster up.

Going for round 3 tomorrow!

Some say the end is near
Some say we'll see Armageddon soon
I certainly hope we will

They are long over. Have been for sane people now for a while. I truly feel for those that just can’t quite move onward. Oh well. Enjoy staying holed up and overpaying for Uber Eats. LOL. The rest of us have lives to live. And movies to see at the theater with like other humans.

So 16 million is on par with the first Avatar movie, but a giant drop compared to the weekend whereas the first Avatar had a smaller weekend opening thus the monday drop was smaller.
It all depends on the christmas holiday moment.
First Avatar had 300 million on the first day of 2010.
Let’s see if this gets around 350 million on 1-1-2023

It still doesn’t mean crap if it doesn’t have the legs.

Eh, they have a point at least.

I would think the death of Steve Jobs would put the nail in the literal coffin that is holistic medicine. Just a bunch of bullshit.

Just came back from my Atmos 3D HFR Cameronscope, and loved it bro.

Its interesting how Jim reused whole setpieces from T2,The Abyss and Titanic, like he used the film as culmination of his whole career. It even has giant flying piranhas!

Needless to say,the last hour has some of the best action sequences scenes ever committed to screen in the last decade or so,only rivaled by Fury Road.

I don't mean Covid. I mean the 2020's in general.
