I bought a pair of used Magneplanars three months ago and fell in love at first listen.

Rhett was talking to me about Usher audio... I never heard of them before, they are sold at audioholics store and other distributors.

Usher has some fine offerings. Their top of the line series has beryillium tweeters like the Focals.

I picked these up a few days ago. Best sounding speakers I own, even over my Klipsch Chorus. Yep.

I can believe it - those are electrostats (almost bought some back in the 90's). Just make sure you find a repair source and keep it handy. Acoustats are great speakers indeed.

Rare parts... I don't know where you can get them repaired when the panels go.

If you ever need it - here's a place to start http://eslrepair.com/

Thanks for the information prerich! I hope they hold out on me. For what I have into them, They're worth getting any repairs necessary.

I suppose I could mention my Eosone's. I have a pair of RSF600's & RSR350's for surround duties in my living room HT, and a set of RSF400's for mains in my bedroom.

IMO these are a highly overlooked/sleeper speaker since there's really not a lot of info on the internet.

If anyone ever has the chance to listen to these, they may be something you'd like, and can generally be found very inexpensive.

[Show spoiler]Here's the RSF600's & RSR350's pulling surround duties.

Recently got rid of the Spectra's, still sounding magnificent when they went.....then in came the Apogee Centaur. 26' ribbon bred with an 8" cone.

It's the set in front.
