Just making sure there was nothing after the credits? (I deleted it while Janis Joplin played)

[Show spoiler]Celeste wins custody of her kids, and the episode ends with the Monterey Five turning themselves in at the police station.

And no, nothing after the credits.

That was NOT Janis Joplin. Just a weak, by-the-numbers imitation by some group called Christina Vierra and The Ryan Rehm Band. I honestly can't believe they ended the show with such a poor cover.

But, anyway....

Thank goodness for Nicole & Meryl & Laura! They were the fuel for this season. No offense to the other fine actors -- after all, they can only play what they are given -- but I found nothing compelling about Madeline's marriage problems or Bonnie's mother drama or Jane's new-and-possibly-untrustworthy bf. (Talk about a complete lack of chemistry....)

This season didn't hold a candle to the first, although it wasn't a complete waste. Still, I'm fine if they don't go any further with these characters.

To be fair the wow factor of season 1 wasn't going to be replicated this was more about day to day life after and picking up the pieces for each character.

So unless the directors/ writers were just going to go straight to fiction and invent new wow moments there really wasn't any way this season would top the revelations in season 1

It was an A+ for me but if they did a season 3 it would be welcomed to see the result of the
[Show spoiler] bankruptcy goes, how this police situation is dealt with etc. etc.

[Show spoiler]Are they all turning themselves in, or are they all just there to support Bonnie who's turning herself in? Not sure why Kidman would fight so hard to keep her kids if she was going to risk going to jail anyway.

[Show spoiler]I suspect they were doing it together because they’d been told that whoever turned themselves in would get leniency and the rest would get hit with the full weight of the law. By going as a single unit and confessing, I’d say they’re all hoping get leniency, as well as to corroborate the details of Bonnie’s confession.

Why don't you just Google search for an episode recap?

...or watch the show.

Lots feel that this season was “rushed”, but it should also be noted that we had to get to know each character in season one on top of the big WOW ending, so it was meat and bones, hence, there’s a slower pace.

We already know the characters by season two, so we just get to enjoy the meat without the bones

I’d say a third season is pretty unlikely not just because of the schedules but also the BTS drama and HBO execs openly complaining about the actresses’ salaries.

It ended on a perfect note, too. David E. Kelley also said they intended it to feel final: https://www.eonline.com/news/1047161...s-were-the-end

I'd like to see another season, or at the very least, a Deadwood-type feature-length finale. Let Kelley and Moriarty take some time to crack the story and use that opportunity to end the entire BLL storyline once and for all.

Again, I'm fine with where S2 ended and don't NEED a third season, but there's certainly more than enough material for them to make one if they so choose (and I wouldn't complain if they did).

This was their way of ending the story, though. If there is another season, it’ll be because the actors came together and cleared their schedules and said they wanted to do more. That’s also what happened with season two. Remember, it was originally a limited series.

I’m not saying there 100% won’t be more, and obviously there is more they could do(although they wrapped every storyline up). There will always be unless a Season 3 comes and ends with every single character dying lol.

I get that this is effectively "The end" unless the powers-that-be decide it isn't. But I can't help thinking that they've left enough unresolved that should the stars align for a third season, they'll have enough to work with. And if this does end up definitively being "The end," then they can chalk up any unresolved loose ends to being "well, that's life."

I do think that if S2 does end up being the last of BLL that we ever see, this finale will go down as one of the more divisive ones.
