Pretty nice view from our room that is about 15 feet form the beach. The small islands you see are the James Bond Islands because they filmed there.
Looks like your vacation was really tranquil

Hello all, it’s been awhile since my last post hope all is well with you guys. Well I’m writing today to tell everyone that my HT will be out of service for the foreseeable future. My father in law is moving in with us and the HT room is, unfortunately, the most logical choice. What are you going to do? This is a great hobby but family is more important. All my gear is packed up with the exception of my TCL 55” 4K and Oppo 203 that I moved into the living room. I managed to make a small stereo rig consisting of a Philips CD60, Be One Audio MA-100 integrated amp, and my pair of Def Tech SM450s. This will be good for my much needed regular music fix. The setup is on a small movable rack so that when I can I will be able to wheel it to a different location and hook up one of my TTs and really let loose. I’ll post some pics as soon as I can. Right now things are a little hectic. Got to get my youngest from college tomorrow. See my sig for updates.

Well as you all might have noticed I’ve been posting again on this and other forums. My HT is back and has a few updates. My AVR is now HDCP 2.2 compliant and I have gone full on HDR and 4K, see sig. My latest acquisitions are the subs. A Martin Logan Dynamo 700, for movies, and a SVS SB1000, that I picked up for $299 “open box”, for music. They don’t usually have them and I was fortunate enough to be standing in Magnolia when the guy returned it and wanted a SVS SB2000. According to the receipt it would appear that he hooked it up, gave it the thumbs down, and brought it right back Actually they are both on for movies and the SVS is hooked to my stereo rig. They’re turned down most of the time, to avoid the dreaded stink eye from the wife, and yet they can really shake things up when I let them. ie the wife is out with the girls

Not yet and neither has anyone else. I have a thread on the Apple support forum and it jumped to three pages since this morning. I hope Apple is listening.

I can still enjoy DV through my TV apps, Firestick 4K, and best of all my Oppo 203.

Hello all, hope all is well. I just noticed that the last time I posted was June, man time goes by fast. I've made a few changes since then. I swapped out my "run of the mill" subs for Martin Logan and SVS. I utilize both for movies and the SVS for two channel music. I have replaced my beloved Oppo 203 with a Pioneer LX500. It's been about 15 years sine I had something besides an Oppo as the main disc spinner in my system. This Pioneer has supplanted the 203 for many reasons but the main one is how wonderful it sounds with music, both two and multi channel. The change I'm most enjoying is the dirt cheap low hour BenQ W7000 projector I picked up a couple of months ago, not the first time I've been late to a party . I'm enjoying the 3D versions of some of my favorite movies quite a bit on my 106" screen.
That's about it, have a great weekend.

Hello all,
Picked up a Pioneer Elite SC-LX701, open box of course, with remote for $479 at Best Buy today. Had $100 in gift cards for an even better deal.
