Also Geoff, not that it negates your point but wasn't the budget for this just south of $100M?
Quite right (looking at bomojo), I dunno where I got $60M from. Even so, the VFX in this flick is the bestest possible kind because it doesn't look like VFX. The face replacements for Dafne's stunt double look aces too.

The fact they're fast moving scenes with 24fps blur makes it an easier sell I'm sure. Tarkin just stands there, which is more noticeable.

Plus Peter Cushing is dead, and they couldn't stick him in a computer booth to scan.

Do they serve frog's legs in Kokomo?

The net budget for Logan was $97 million.

Maybe you were thinking of Deadpool, which cost $58 million?

I noticed this reissue listed on the front page sometime back. Looks like it's the BDs without a DVD.

I'm in Singapore, which uses only Region A blu-rays. I bought this movie from Amazon and neither the blu-rays nor the DVD copy included will play on my blu ray player.

I've tried updating the firmware. No luck. It just spits it out after a few seconds.

The funny thing is, I have a region B player as well. It plays fine on there for about 10 seconds, then stops and tells me it's the wrong region.

How am I supposed to be able to watch the movie I paid $20 USD for???

Logan has a new FOX Icons slipcover with Logan and Laura on it. Not the best but I bought it anyway.

They also had both trilogies with new slips (just shadows of the characters so not worth it tbh)

Only thing different is the slipcover, artwork under is the same. I paid $15 for it, don't judge me.

Is the noir disc still included? I know there was concern that they might drop that eventually.

The ones at my local Target and Best Buy seem to still have them with it MifuneFan, but not sure about the new one. I was a little bummed when I realized my 4K Steelbook didn't come with the noir. Debating on if I'm going to pick up and sell off the rest of the disc?
Do you really have something to say or are you just in love with the sound of your keyboard?

Yes, it says Noir version included on back of slip and the blu-ray case is pretty heavy.

Honestly, the noir version is worth one viewing for the sheer novelty (bonus points for opening with the 50's Fox and Cinemascope logos ), but I doubt I'd sit through the whole thing again.

I saw that slipcover at Walmart today. Super tempted to buy it since I have all of the others. They need to do one for Apocolypse since that’s the only movie I don’t own.

There is one with Apocalypse's face on it.

Also happy 1 year anniversary to Logan! Saw it exactly one year ago today for the Thursday 9pm showing.

I haven't seen Logan yet. Never been an X-Men fan and of the films I only liked First Class.

I don't remember why I missed Logan at the cinema but people keep telling me to watch it.

Is the B&W version something worth having or was it just trying to copy Mad Max?

What is the commentary like? I've been told Mangold *****es and moans a lot about other superhero films in his commentary. The man is entitled to his opinions but I'd rather hear a director talk about his/her own film than disparage others.

And what of Jackman himself? Never really been impressed by Wolverine in the other movies. Can I expect better from him here or more of the same?
