Jagr has never played in Canada and said he would love to play for a team in Canada. Also, he had a tremendous amount of fun when he played with Plekanec at the worlds and scored a lot of goals. I know Plekanec is salivating at the mouth at the opportunity to play with Jagr for a full season.

I can see Jagr going back to the Pitt, he and Mario have a good relationship plus Malkin and Shitsby, Detroit is a good destination for him due to how they treat older players, not to mention our salary cap increase this year. Montreal is well Montreal... Is gonna be a tuff choice

And get paid the bare minimum? The Canucks will have almost no money this offseason as they're going to have to try and resign both Bieksa and Erhoff.

Personally, I hope Jagr ends up in Montreal. Definitely not in Detroit.

I don't think it's totally out of the question that Jagr signs with the Pens. I mean, look at all the talent that the Pens have. Malkin will be back next season after having surgery and I have a feeling he'll start to kick some ass! I have a feeling he'll be really healthy and ready to play. Sidney Crosby will probably be back. Hopefully he'll be fully recovered by the start of the season. Jordan Staal has always been a dynamite player! The Pens just re-signed forward Craig Adams. He isn't really much of a goal scorer, but he is a great penalty killer! One of the best penalty killers in the league, actually. Kris Letang and Brooks Orpik are 2 of the best defensemen in the NHL, IMO. Adding Jagr to the mix would be awesome! If the price is right, I can definately see him coming back to Pittsburgh.

Yeah, the price...I think Kovalev will get around $3M/year, maybe $5M for 2 years since he's 38. Jagr is 39 but I think a team will be willing to give him $4M for 1 year.

I'm thinking it will be Claude Noel seeing that he had a good year as the Moose head coach and is known well in Winnipeg already.

Yeah agreed. He would really be missed as a TSN panelist though - one of my faves.

A couple of tweets from Bob McKenzie:

Quote:
Buyout period commences tomorrow. If a team wants to buy out a player tomorrow, player must be put on unconditional waivers today at noon.
Quote:
An injured player cannot be bought out, which is the crux of today's Drury story in the NY Post.
Rangers can't buy out injured Drury

Habs fans ... REJOICE! Brunet no longer anaylst for HABS games, Marc Denis takes over

In a sad note... I just realized, the Bruins are going to pick 9th and 30th in the upcoming draft. Good job Toronto
