Birdemic has parts where it is boring, especially in the first half of the movie there are 5-10 minute sequences where nothing interesting happens. But man, when the birds start attacking and the "special effects" are first showcased combined with the sound effects. I don't think I've laughed as hard for any hilariously bad movie as when the birds first start attacking in Birdemic.
I think "The Room" is deserving of a 4 or 5 to be honest. It's like a 90 minute fever dream with so many mind-blowing moments and is relentlessly entertaining. Most awful movies are just incredibly dull, while even the "so bad, it's good" ones typically have a few great moments sprinkled into long stretches of unwatchability. I think "Samurai Cop" and "R.O.T.O.R" are two of the "so bad, they're good" films that can go blow for blow with "The Room" though. I thought "R.O.T.O.R" was absolutely hilarious. I even pre-ordered the Blu-Ray.

This list is not legitimate unless The Force Awakens is added as #1 immediately.

While I'll definitely agree with The Room being entertaining, that doesn't mean it isn't a terrible film. Entertainment =\= Quality

I'll be checking out R.O.T.O.R now. Thanks for informing me about it.

Oh, "The Room" is atrocious, I agree. Horrible writing, godawful direction, and some of the worst acting known to mankind. But it maintains such a consistent pace of outright lunacy that separates it from 99% of films, that it deserves a little boost ratings-wise IMO. I think a 3 or 4 is warranted. I'd bet nearly every film in the bottom 250 is a real slog to get through, with the exception of a few. "Samurai Cop", for example, is a just an incredibly incompetent film, but has a 5 on IMdB. And I have no problem with it because it's deliriously entertaining.

Well, if we're going by "entertaining for whatever reason" measure, then few movies on IMDB's bottom 100 deserve a score that low. I found some more from the list that is on blu ray:

#48, only in SD though:

#61

#74

#93

#99

Some more international releases:

#52, Germany and Japan:

#21, Russia:

I think that's the complete list. Man, I would've never thought that so many from IMDB's bottom 100 were available on blu ray. The format has truly come a long way.

Oh I see what you mean but if Samurai Cop has a 5, The Room deserves at least that same score. Both are probably the most famous examples of "it is so bad, it is good."

I completely forgot about this movie! It's the FIFA movie with Tim Roth as Sepp Blatter. Such a stupid concept for a movie. It'd be like making an inspirational film about the electoral college.

Some of them have been bottom 100 at one point, but I've always enjoyed the Hulk Hogan and Shaq movies of the 90s.

My dad and I used to watch Suburban Commando whenever it was on cable. I'd actually pick up a blu for nostalgia reasons, should one ever been produced.

Updated. IMDb changed the rules last year, a movie must now have at least 10,000 votes to be included in the Bottom 100 list. It used to be 1,500 votes. So, lots of those 1,500 only movies are not listed anymore, unless they reach 10,000 votes someday.

The Bottom 100 kind of lost its charm I think, with classic bad movies removed because of IMDb's new rules. Gone are (until they reach 10,000 votes):

Final Justice (1985)
Extra Terrestrial Visitors (1983)
Space Mutiny (1988)
The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961)
Eegah (1962)
Monster a-Go Go (1965)
Track of the Moon Beast (1976)
The Pumaman (1980)
Leonard Part 6 (1987)
The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!? (1964)
Soultaker (1990)
Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues (1984)
Zombie Nightmare (1987)
Zaat (1971)
Mitchell (1975)
Oasis of the Zombies (1982)
Laserblast (1978)
R.O.T.O.R. (1987)

and many more. Only 18 titles in the Bottom 100 are older than 25 years. Before the changes there used to be much more. Ah well.

I totally agree. It skews the list toward well-known but disliked films rather than truly awful films. A notoriously terrible film like Agent Beetle would never rack up 10,000 votes in 100 years.

Wow, I own 3 of those: Batman & Robin, Kazaam, and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Not amazing movies, but pure nostalgia for me since I enjoyed them as a young buck
