Default Spectre 4K UHD release?

We know the Blu-Ray/DVD release date (Feb. 9), and we know this title has been targeted for a UHD release...so the question is: when?
If they are going to do it, you figure it would be soon...and I don't want to "double-dip" any more than anyone else.

It's going to be a while. Spectre wasn't even in the planning stages for UHD when I last discussed with people who knew what was going on.

Since MGM just recently announced with will start using Dolby Vision tech, it could be a couple issues.

1. Deciding which authoring house to go with (Deluxe or Sony)

2. Deciding to possibly wait for their new distribution deal to be nailed down. Spectre was the last film in the Sony theatrical deal, and MGM/Fox should still have home video rights, but who knows when a new deal is struck.

As crazy as it sounds, MGM might be looking big picture, and thinking of doing a batch of Bond at once.

MGM hasn't announced any UHD titles yet.

Sony doesn't have home distribution rights, I doubt they care if you double dip on another studio's movie.

20th Century Fox is handling the home release. So I guess maybe batch 2 from them?

Only reason to buy Spectre on UHD Blu-ray, if it comes with a good amount of extras.

There is no actual batch 2.

I doubt we'll see anything other than the original BD extras included.

I've made the same decision. I probably order it along with The Martian (UHD) from foxconnect.com with the coupon/discount.

This coupon is legit! Thanks! Only a little bummed that it says the item will SHIP on March 1st, which means I won't be able to watch these for a few days after release. But can't argue with a 30% discount!

Thanks for that coupon.

Martian is a guaranteed buy, unsure if I should grab Exodus. I think that movie will benefit amazingly from 4K HDR .
