Notes:
1. I'm glad The Martian and The Walk got some wins. Those two deserve it.
2. I love seeing what short films and foreign films they pick.
3. Japanese animation studio Shirogumi has now won Animated Jury Prize two years in a row for Gamba and Stand by Me Doraemon.
4. Mojin: The Lost Legend must not have been submitted.
5. David Attenborough is an unstoppable 3D documentary machine.
6. The Advanced Imaging Society panders to Pixar.

Thanks for posting the information on the 3D awards for 2015.
I'm guessing they didn't see Pixar's Good Dinosaur when they chose the award for Inside Out.

I'm interested in seeing Gamba with the mice in 3D if the 3D is strong.
Yes, nice to see Martian and Walk recognized.

Strong 3D in 40 Below and Falling 3D Trailer, agreed. I wish more new 3D movies set their 3D goals to that range of strong 3D.

With the exception of last year, this society has limited their main award categories to Oscar-quality films. The studios have to submit their features and pay a fee to be considered, so I bet most don't even bother submitting ones with rotten critic reviews even if they have good 3D. Pixar probably didn't even enter The Good Dinosaur in lieu of Inside Out generating more awards buzz. If possible, they should make their ceremony more open to broaden the scope of their selections.

Shirogumi used strong 3D for Stand by Me Doraemon, except for a few converted sections. Just watching the 2D trailer, you can tell that Gamba is designed for stereo 3D. I presume it will also have nice depth and hope we get a blu-ray 3D this year.

I'd watch 40 Below and Falling too although it looks like a big heap of romantic cheese, assumingly made just to prove that any genre can use 3D. It's probably the best live 3D released in 2015 (counting Tiger Mountain as 2014).

Thanks. I didn't know an entry fee was required, limiting the entries per studio.
Yes, the shot with the mouse hanging off the back of the vehicle going down the hill, his legs falling towards the camera. I hope we get it on blu ray 3D in 2016, agreed.

40 Below isn't a genre I'd normally watch either, though the 3D goals of the film are commendable and a great example of strong 3D, based on the trailer anyway.

I kind of forgot about these awards - better late than never seeing who won.
