I wouldn't say it certainly does because certain games struggle at 4K 60Hz on my TXP and it is rather close in performance. That said, HDR is no trouble as I have done many hours of RE7 in HDR on my TXP.

Here is some more information: http://wccftech.com/evga-geforce-gtx...s-card-teaser/

Agreed, the next gen of Nvidia GPU's (the 1170,1180/Ti, TitanX) should be do a better job of handling 4K at max settings. 1080p over 60FPS is still the sweet spot (an argument can be made for 1440p).

I've been running 1440P / 144Hz / G-Sync for a while, and I can't stand gaming at 60 FPS anymore. Not only does it look and feel awful now, it also physically hurts my eyes. So, I couldn't go back to it. Not even for 4K.

That said, I will definitely get one of these as soon as Gigabyte release their G1 version. Since I have no desire to go beyond 1440P, one of them will be just fine for a very long time.

Since Pascal came out, I would say 1440p is the new sweet spot.

3440x1440 100Hz with G-sync is the sweet spot for me on my office rig.

I am hoping an OCd 1080Ti will get me more consistent 4K gaming though.

I won't rule it out since it seem that the only way a Titan XP can get constant 60FPS (or above) in 4K is OC. As long as you have a i7.

Yeah, my TXP in my HTPC on air would be in the 1,700 - 1,800 range whereas my TXP under water in my office runs at 2.1Ghz all day and I saw the 1080Ti FE hitting that on air, so one with an even better cooler may OC even further.

Yeah and they sold out almost instantly. Saw they were up for pre-order, took a shower, came back and they were all out.

I debated getting that one since I could move it to my other machine and put my TXP waterblock on it.

Will likely go with one with a better air cooling though and upgrade the office PC once there is a new generation chip rather than shifting things around.

Just have patience. They'll be back.

Yeah, they came back up for order less than 10 minutes ago and are already out of stock again.

Fortunately I was able to place my order a couple minutes before the 10AM time they said they'd go up.

I've been hearing that the 3rd party cooler cards won't come until May and that is too long of a wait for me for my HTPC to be out of commission so I settled for the FE.

Seeing the benchmarks I understand why they just said it was "faster than the Titan X" because it is really just a few frames here and there. Oh well, at least I made a bit of money moving to this new card.

I'm willing to wait for the MSI twin frozr since I am a bit of a fanboy. They will fit my build perfectly and hopefully I will be able to get more stable FPS on these three 1440p monitors. The two 980ti are struggling currently.
