I'm not saying that they don't release some good stuff, but it seems for the most part, they don't seem to care. Especially when it comes to the Rangers.
They got the license to release the show from Saban and crammed the episodes as much as possible. Colours are off, compression artifacts. Ranger fans were starving for material and they knew that no matter what got put out, regardless of quality, it'd get eaten up.
Then you have a LOT of other movies where they also don't care about quality and if you look in those threads, you will see how bad they are. Hell, they even lie right to us, even after proof of them lying is handed directly to them. For that, you'll need to go to the Hackers thread.

The Last Unicorn, Transformers, and a bunch of others are all messed up.
RARELY do they fix the errors. I know of two off of the top of my heard where they fixed them, but they were also reluctant to.
Halloween 4 is one. Though they still have the region B art on Zombie's Halloween 2...
Army of darkness was also fixed... reluctantly.
The main problem thouh, like I said, is that ranger fans are so starving for releases ( or were) that they don't care about quality. They nearly all have a hive-mind mentality of "Well, something, even if it is bad, is better than nothing at all."

This is being screened on the big screen in NYC this weekend, looking forward to finally seeing the new restoration! The DVD video quality was awful, it looks like it was sourced from a laserdisc. The movie has that great mid 90s cinematic look.

Lucky!
Please ask if FOX is going to release this. Let them know that Shout can't and most definitely SHOULD NOT as they'd screw it up.

^That's not really something the theatres could do anything about though. I did email the manager asking what brought about the screening. If it is getting screened it most likely means a release is immenent.

The restoration look great but honestly seeing it on the big screen made me want to see a 35mm print of the film!

Oh, I thought it was similar to the other one and it was a hosted event with a Q&A.

This movie has been one of the movies I've been DYING to add to my Blu-ray collection. I mean, hell, if Major Payne of all things can get a Blu-ray release as 4K is picking up, then why can't Power Rangers get, at the very least, a proper Blu-ray release? I mean a 4K UHD release would be epic, but at this point, I'd be happy to get it on Blu-ray. I honestly don't know why it's taken so long to get this out. I mean, there are movies out there that don't even need Blu-ray releases (Captain America '90, anyone?) that have gotten them. I mean, it's obvious the fan base is there, what is it? Does FOX not like money or something?

i don't think it looked this good when i think i saw it in theaters when i was a kid.
