Default Cineworld UK IMAX trailer

So I recently attended Cineworlds 3D IMAX Fest and they have started showing a 3D IMAX promotional trailer, bigging up 3D IMAX.

In the trailer, theres a good few films featured that I know where filmed and released in 3D IMAX and then there are clips from films that were not released or even shot in 3D or 3D IMAX, such as Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Fast and Furious 7 etc

But there they are in the trailer, in 3D IMAX. So my question is - did IMAX just convert these clips to 3D specifically for the trailer? Or has WB / Universal been secretly converting these films to 3D?

I suspect the answer is that they just converted these clips, so that a 3D trailer could be created, but if there was even a chance that one day Interstellar would get a re-release in 3D IMAX, I for one would be all over it.

If anyone has any info it would be appreciated.

Furious 7 actually did have a 3D release in some countries. The other ones were probably converted for the trailer.
