I have a UK edition of this; I'll gladly consider a new offering from Ronin, though.

I tried to buy it last year at some point and the cheapest I could find it was $45 at the time and I wasn't willing to pay that for Hardware. I'll grab this at $25 probably.

I only have the Severin DVD and have been wanting to re-visit the movie in HD recently, will buy this for sure!!! Also great news about Roninflix getting into the game, looking forward to encouraging this new venture.

Ronin just added it to their COMING SOON page.
I wonder why they will only sell it to US customers, not a good news!

Because that is the only country they have the rights to sell the film in.

Looks like this new edition offers a new scan of the OCN, new audio options, a new interview with Richard Stanley and an interview with Iggy Pop. Just going by what is different via the Severin listing on this site. And it’s two discs instead of one and with that SRP, it’s obviously 2 BDs. Looks promising.

That slipcover looks really nice, remember seeing it in the theater but I don't remember anything about the story except that there's a robot in it.

That was my experience too. I saw in the theater, remember the robot, and being bored to death. I bought the Severin blu, and enjoyed a little more, but still mediocre.

It's a beautiful looking movie, the outside shots at least. Some of the outside shots, reminded me of Blade Runner, pretty good for a VERY low budget movie.

The robot is not very memorable and looks pretty silly in some shots.

Try to find a streaming copy before blind buying.

I still remember when I worked at Suncoast back in the day and an angry woman returned this movie on VHS because of the sex scene. The violence was fine for her kids, but not the sex scene.

I missed out on the Severin release so I'm really looking forward to this. I remember when it came out there was some buzz about it because Iggy Pop and Lemmy were in it. Good times.

The violence was censored on said VHS tape, though.
