Default What Do You Recommend?

This is a new thread based on each user's current collection. The next person that posts should recommend a title that the above user does not have (doesn't matter if you have it or not). Then, the following user that posts will do the same for the above poster.

Just note what you're into.

I like a lot of different movies, but I lack horror and foreign.

This may seem like an odd choice, but it manages to be funny, sad, compelling, and have excellent performances by both Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudekis. It's a very different film. Though I will admit to being a big Hathaway fan.

I saw you had Chicago in your collection and also older films.

This is one of my favorite musicals and the blu ray looks great.

Looking through your collection, we definitely have similar tastes. I think you'd quite enjoy Diner, a long time favorite of mine.

You have a lot of horror/thriller/sci-fi in your collection, but I didn’t see these two classics from 1998:

Both movies are a lot of fun with entertaining premises, good casts, and memorable late 90s music.

I shall recommend Titles not likely to have been viewed by the majority of you.
ANIME-UNICO AND THE ISLAND OF MAGIC. interesting take on the Pied Piper meets the island of misfit toys and choosing to be a good or bad person.
Fantasy- Jan Svankmajor's Alice. Stop frame live action version of Alice in wonderland that seems like it was written and made by someone on an acid trip. A little creepy but fun. Probably my favorite version of the story on film.
Fantasy- THE CITY OF LOST CHILDREN. One of Ron Perlman's earlier outings. Quite excellent.
Fantasy- Chronos, The Devil's backbone, and Pan's labyrinth. ( GUILLERMO DEL TORO. and admittedly most have likey seen these 3 but if not, I highly recommend)
Fantasy- THE FALL by TARSEM ... beautiful cinematography and story.
Scifi- Logan's Run. Shot mostly in a mall
AMC's Humans series. Strangely better than it should be.
SciFi- Forbidden Planet
Fantasy- MIRROR MASK.
APOCALYPTIC- Six: the mark unleashed. Strangely most Christian type films usually suck but this stars JEFFREY DEAN MORGAN, STEPHEN BALDWIN, and ERIC ROBERTS with what appears to be a small budget but is way more entertaining than any other Antichrist/Devil end of the world movie that I have ever seen. It's easier to follow without all the stuff you wouldn't know had you not been in like a Sunday school class as a kid. A little preachy in a prison scene and the ending wasn't what I expected.
PERIOD/WAR/HISTORY/- the boy in the striped pajamas... wow, just wow.
