Easily the worst packaging I've ever seen.

I already own the original Omen and the lack of individual cases/awful packaging makes even $24 not worth it for me.

The packaging is a bit crappy but the tranfers of Omen 2 and The Final Conflict are quite good.

I love this franchise. Heard lots of bad stories of the packaging hence I bought the UK version. Uk comes as the trilogy only. Remake is not there (bought it separately) but really good packaging. it comes in a bluray case that holds 3 discs and you have a nice slipcover as well. Region free too

I really wish Omen IV: The Awakening is released on BD too so I can get rid of my Omen DVD set.

I saw the price drop for 19.99, but the packaging is horrible? People posted that the U.K. version although the first 3 movies only (I dont care for the remake), has much better packaging and is region free.

However, when I look at Amazon.uk the usual bracket [Region Free] is not advertised which makes me pause?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Omen-Trilogy-Boxset-Blu-ray/dp/B001E8V6H8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1318348641&sr=8-2

Can this be confirmed?

thanks

Only the original Omen is worth getting and maybe Omen II too.

Bump, any answers on the UK version being Region Free like the poster stated above? I usually only order from Amazon.uk if I see the [Region Free] bracket which in this case does not.

Ready to order, but only with the green light. I cant find this answer anywhere else.

Omen 4 was terrible. I think Fox didn't include it so we would forget about it.

Agreed, already have the first which is an old favorite of mine and have been waiting hopefully for an individual release of the second. Not interested at all in the other sequels.

Did they ever fix the packaging on this?

I'm tempted to grab it for $17.99, but I don't want it if the discs are going to be loose and scratched to hell.

Link

It looks like it is just a flat piece of cardboard with a little rubber nub attached.

It's DVD size for starters, so it sits a good inch or so taller then your typical Blu Ray set/case. Worse yet it's extremely flimsy and not a nice thick cardboard like it should be. Instead it feels like it's essentially a few sheets of paper. VERY easy to crush and damage. Worst of all, the discs themselves are just placed on small rubber nubs. Had the inside had actual plastic trays, it would have better protected the disks AND helped increase the rigidness of the case as a whole which would have meant less damage to the overall case. As it is the Disks are great, and the packaging design is cool, but the case itself is garbage.

From the link posted above:

"And if you order online, consider yourself lucky if the set arrives undamaged, as this array of newspaper thin paperboard is no match for traditional USPS or UPS handling techniques."
