Default Ben Casey

I was thinking about buying this on DVD because I have never seen an episode before. I noticed that there are two separate releases. There is a special edition version that is going for 19 bucks and there is a regular edition going for over 30 dollars. Is the cheaper one a bootleg? What is the difference in quality on the two releases?

Definitely go for the $35 dollar option. It's an official release. The cheaper one is a bootleg with poor quality transfers. Hope you like it. It's a good show.

I have wanted to see it because I saw so many parodies of it when I was a kid. Batman, Dobie Gillis and The Flintstones all did parodies of Ben Casey and I have always liked the lead actor Vince Edwards in many film noir movies.

Am still interested in this release, even if it is indeed an MOD (manufactured-on-demand) DVD release. Have checked Amazon.com, Deep Discount and WOW-HD, and it states on the last two shopping websites' listing pages that it's "manufactured-on-demand". I'm assuming then, that the discs in the two first season DVD volumes from CBS/Paramount (the release date was during last autumn) are DVD-R discs (aka 'purple-sided discs').

Are there any shopping websites which sell the CBS MOD (manufactured-on-demand) TV titles with pressed discs?
