How long is the GoFundME campaign open? I'd like to donate, but I'm financially spent until early February.

Thank you
About 40 minutes in and enjoying the listen!! The bit about Bill talking to Sage Stallone on the phone every night was pretty funny/cool.

Is Capstone currently shipping to Canada? Looking at the site now and thinking of placing an order...

Should be a while....from their web-page
fundraisers that haven't received a donation or posted an update in 365 days will become inactive.

I like how on the fundme page it has the donors. Severin and Joe Rubin of VS gave $1000, Jesse from Diabolik/Cauldron gave $500, so kudos to them. Don May from Synapse gave $100. Nice that he gave, but a big difference between the other labels. The label wars taking its toll....Just thought it was interesting....

I feel like bill would be pissed knowing they paid for his funeral. “They want to pay to put me in the ground”. I’m going to miss that man.

I can see that for sure, but the 'kids' knew that he paved the way, so that would make him feel better about it. I think...

I just wanted to thank Capstone and Walter making that interview happen and giving some background on Bill's life and more of the circumstances of his last years. It was a fascinating listen.

It's because Capstone got his own website wrong. It's capstone-films.com, not capstonefilms.com.

Really appreciated that interview with Walt. A truly revealing look into their lives that although sad at times, definitely showcased the passion both brothers had and still do for cinema.

I'm looking forward to a listen. Capstone Kid isn't doing a very good job of advertising the interview on his site. Other than the photo of Bill with Robert Englund there's no indication it's the Walter Olsen chat. I didn't even think to click on that image.

In a way, something seemingly simple being maddeningly difficult to find, and requiring multiple hoops to be jumped through by the user - that's the ultimate tribute to Bill and the Code Red experience.

This was a very interesting but also quite sad interview. It was great to hear Walt talk about how him and Bill got started in the business and fell in love with movies. One of the most interesting facts is that Walt and Bill are actually half Japanese. Their dad married a women from Japan and they all lived there for many years when they were younger. In Japan movies were uncensored on TV so they discovered a lot of genre cinema that way.

I will say around the 30 minute mark the interview does get very dark and depressing. Walt talks about how after Bill’s stroke he completely changed mentally and got very mean. How people in LA who were supposedly Bill’s “friends” were stealing lots of money from him. Also how Walt helped save Bill’s life by getting his caregiver to bring Bill to Seattle to get his leg checked out at the hospital. Apparently the doctors did such a good job in Seattle that they got him back to almost 100% and told him if he did dialysis three times a week he would live. Walt begged him to stay in Seattle with him but he went back to LA and stopped taking medical advice which led to his death.

Quite possibly the most disturbing fact is that Bill died in a boardinghouse not a medical or nursing facility and that there is currently an investigation into his death.

Yeah, that part was really sad. They wouldn't name names (we know at least one of them), perhaps because of the ongoing investigation?

Very nice interview. Walt has always been a class act. Seems like his health is even worse than Bill’s was

Walt sounds just like Bill when he talks. Nice to be able to put a voice to his name.

Just started watching That Man Bolt from Kino and it has a nice mention to Bill Olsen at the start. Felt that was very classy.
