I'm not familiar with how the VS website works in this regard: Attack of the Beast Creatures is listed as "sold out" for both the limited and standard editions. Was the standard edition actually also limited and already gone, or are they just between pressings? I went through like 6 pages of partner releases and the only other ones that said "sold out" on the thumbnails were ones that didn't have a standard edition or are otherwise OOP (e.g. Morvern Callar due to Fun City changing distributors), so I can't tell if recently released standard editions being sold out is just a common thing that doesn't mean anything, or not? Please advise, haha

I don't see anything that would suggest it's gone for good. It's also not been moved to the OOP page. Guessing it's just between pressings for now

I agree with Brad. This likely sold far better than VS was expecting so they sold out of their initial pressings. Very likely they will get more in.

That was a highly requested title too. I remember it being mentioned a few times. I was surprised they did such a small run.

Wrestling With Shadows is going at a decent clip. Close to half the slips sold in 24 hours.

Wow, you definitely need to keep an eye on the Pardner Labels. It's like the early days of VS slips when they did smaller runs.

25 years later and the Montreal Screwjob is still a hot topic in wrestling/sports circles.

The two wrestling docs were a surprise as well. Pretty cool partner month just based on those 3 to me
Had a quick skim through the Partner label titles for February yesterday (Wednesday) and a better look today. Two titles I'm interested in, the Clue documentary and For the Plasma. The Bret Hart wrestling documentary is a possibility.

I watched a couple partner label releases recently I felt compelled to comment on:

Hellaware: Very fun little comedy about a narcissistic idiot who becomes consumed with artistic pretensions, leading to some really humorous consequences. It's a somewhat light satire and well worth picking up whenever the price drops.

Raw Nerve: Really weird, but watchable movie hatched by David A Prior ("Deadly Prey"), starring his brother, Ted Prior. Ted actually gives a pretty committed performance as a serial killer, but this film's calling card is the supporting actors/actresses. Traci Lords and Sandahl Bergman both give decent performances, while every shot is literally screaming "You want to have sex with these two ladies, right?"

Then there's the scenes between Glenn Ford and Jan Michael Vincent. These are two talented actors with some great performances between them, but the scenes in this movie quite literally play as if you put a bottle of Jack Daniels between two giant alcos and had them do a scene. It's tough to watch to be honest, as they are both clearly f**ked up and doing the movie for a paycheck. It doesn't exactly improve the film, but definitely gives it a novelty factor. It's a weird one to be sure, as it's all over the place in its insanity, giving it a gonzo factor. Recommended only for adventurous viewers interested in curios.

Decided to make a list on Letterboxd to rank all the Partner Label titles I've seen. All of these were viewed before even finding out/paying attention to Vinegar Syndrome & all the partner labels.

Looking forward to diving into more titles now!

I actually thought of your reviews when I saw Raw Nerve, it's a shining example of those alcoholic paycheck films that we know and love. This one was pretty high up there in terms of how obvious it was, as much as I love former great actors popping up in later career low budget films, it is tough to watch certain scenes when you wonder how they even got out of bed that morning.
