There are more and more 3d films being released every year. Must be a market for these.

Regarding this film, after seeing it in 3d, I simply can't watch it in 2d anymore.

Those into 3D movies seem to be a pretty dedicated bunch and of course 3D projectors are still easily available.

No 3D TV has been manufactured since 2016.

Shortly before 2016 is the last time I bought a physical TV, naturally featuring 3D (not including my more recent projector). It absolutely floors me that not one single company has put out a TV that features 3D, even as a niche product to differentiate it from the competitors.

Nonetheless, I'm grateful that Kino and others have continued to put out great 3D titles for us.

Coming April 11th!

THEY CAME TO CORDURA (1959)
• Introduction by Filmmaker/Film Historian Bertrand Tavernier (28:07) - In French with English Subtitles
• Theatrical Trailer
• Limited Edition O-Card Slipcase
• Optional English Subtitles

Color 123 Minutes 2.35:1 Not Rated
Set against the backdrop of the 1916 war against Pancho Villa, They Came to Cordura stars screen icon Gary Cooper (High Noon) as Thomas Thorn, a career Army officer given the humiliating task of leading five Medal of Honor candidates to the military base of Cordura, Texas. Branded a coward during battle, Thorn hopes to learn what these men, each of whom performed heroically under fire, possess which he lacks. But as the grueling journey through the desert progresses, the “heroes” panic, attempting murder and mutiny as the quest for survival reveals their true characters. The brilliant Rita Hayworth (The Lady from Shanghai) co-stars as the seventh member of the group, an American expatriate who gradually comes to appreciate Thorn’s quiet integrity as he leads his mutinous charges through a desperate odyssey. Filled with both exciting action and finely tuned drama, their treacherous trek to the town of Cordura (which is also the Spanish word for courage) is a rugged and riveting tale of bravery far more enduring than the fleeting heroics of battle. Co-starring Van Heflin (Shane) and Tab Hunter (Damn Yankees) under the stirring direction of Robert Rossen (All the King’s Men, The Hustler).

I had never heard of this movie, it sounds great.

But, cordura ≠ courage,
cordura = sanity, saneness

Yes, very appreciative of all work Kino, 3D archive and Classic flix are doing for 3D. FWIW, I have a 4k/3D projector that gives me a fantastic 120" screen experience. Cost me $1200. Well worth it, imho.

This was very enlightening. I've regretted missing out on the 3D revival a few years back, and had even explored buying a used 3D TV. I'd never seriously looked at projection because it doesn't work in my main living space, but knowing that some projectors still offer the capability means I can include 3D whenever I build my dream home theater room.

A quick service note from our support team.
We are currently in the process of moving our entire inventory to Memphis, TN to improve our order fulfillment process. We're making an extra effort to push existing orders through (many of you are receiving notifications already), but as a result some of your orders may be delayed until the move has been completed. We hope to fully resume order fulfillment on Monday, February 13th. Thanks for your patience.

If there is an issue with your order contact us using support form at https://kinolorber.com/order-support.
Please use this form rather than open emails or phone calls.

Thanks Everyone!

Kino's site has pre-orders for The Trap (1922) and a double feature of comedies by Harry A. Pollard - Oh, Doctor! and Poker Faces. 3 more titles from the latest Universal deal.
