Just picked this up today, for a MOD release it’s great quality except for the complete lack of extras (and both the blu-ray and DVD have the same light green color and look identical to each other besides the format logo). Tested on a PS3, the film itself has an extremely high Mbps average due to the lack of any other features being included on the disc, rather high for a WB disc and comparable to a Sony Mastered in 4K release, almost always hovering around 35-40, usually closer to or at 40, I did not see any drops to under 30 Mbps throughout the entire picture. Definitely one of the best for the format yet from WB amongst their vast and expansive catalog in that regard. Also the DTS HD-MA 5.1 is very serviceable and has nice LFE (car engines for example or some soundtrack songs like Back That Azz Up engage nicely), I do not think Atmos was really needed here. Overall, it’s recommend if you’re trying to complete your House Party collection or something, but not recommend as the type of release it is at the price it’s being offered for ($35 on Amazon currently), even with extras included I think $25 would’ve been too much for this movie but at least WB made up for it somewhat in picture quality.
