I did have the UK steelbook ordered, but the 20% off at HMV enable me to order the standard UK release for £8.80. I do like that German steel, though.

GREAT news. Can't wait for the eventual US release. Loving the bottom left and top right cover arts.

Yep it's true. Terminator is just too niche and unpopular a film to get a remastered version in N.A. No doubt the remaster is a Spain exclusive, all the other pre-orders in other regions are surely the US master.

Yesss this is awesome, and so is that cover. usually I'm not a fan of a re-hash photoshopped cover, but this is awesome.

It's been confirmed that the new remaster will also be available in the UK and Germany, so it's not just a Spanish exclusive.

I'm not sure how much better this film can look. Most of it was filmed at night and on a tiny budget. I wouldn't expect a massive difference over the old release. It would be nice if all the extras + some new ones were added to this release. And as always, I'm sure the US will receive the worst artwork and no steelbook.

Original audio... or no sale. Unfortunately this is one of the worst treated titles on home video thus far.

The Image Entertainment DVD was a dreadful transfer, the MGM special edition was an improvement but still not that great. The BD release is underwhelming and features only the 5.1 remixed audio with the INCORRECT sound effects sprinkled throughout the film -- which to any die-hard fan pulls you right out of the film.

I'm crossing my fingers. Either way, the covers shown are pretty awesome. Bottom left is my favorite.

I guess he was kind of ironic

Germany is definitely getting a remastered version as well!

From a German site blu-ray disc.de

Meanwhile, Fox has given all the details on Premiere HD and now it is known that fans can look forward to a very special release.

Much better. There's a lot of issues the plague the original transfer that's just a result of a rushed restoration. It CAN look a lot better if done right (assuming this is the Lowry job, which my guess is - Yes).

I want the bottom-left cover/case. Which version is that?
Definately going to import this if no US date is close to international release date
