Fox will definitely release it here. Be patient.

I'm 100% confused now. VERY confused.

I know James Cameron was gonna supervise a new HD master from Lowry, long time before "Avatar" would be released. They were expecting Cameron to finish "Avatar", indeed.
What happened to that?

I believe this new transfer has been finished for a few years now.

I'm crossing my fingers. Either way, the covers shown are pretty awesome. Bottom left is my favorite.
I've still got the Elite DVD, and it ain't bad at all for a 15-year-old non-anamorphic platter. And the mono audio means that it'll stay in my collection forever more.

I've got a horrible feeling that the Euro editions won't come with the mono mix, but I'm not relinquishing my order for the lovely play steelbook. You never know, perhaps we might get a new 5.1 mix that expands the audio without violating it like that dreadful 5.1 EX track.

More important than even the video for me is that they restored the original audio. The current transfer, I have no problems with and I'm sure I'll love the new one, but they need to include the original mono track or a new 5.1 track with the original sound effects.

Same here, I'm hoping its £8.80 well spent.

I certainly have no qualms about importing (the Superman set from the UK just opened up the floodgates for me), but I'm positive MGM/Fox will release this here. It's the only reason I've held off on getting The Terminator on Blu, even though it's one of my favorites.

The German steelbook has much more accurate cover art. That's the one I am going for if the transfer is not digitally molested.

You are correct! It's a tough choice as they both look great...but the Play version appealed to me the most!

I don't like the cartoony look of Arnold and the fact that he's holding an M-16. He never uses an M-16 in the film.

What sounds even worse is the .357 Magnum when he's on the motorcycle. It sounds like a little pop gun.

Thats part of the reason why I cancelled my Play.com steelbook. I prefer the standard art, its more accurate and "badass".
