This new hatred for james cameron and his filmography is kinda hilarious. Ever since the avatars I've seen Aliens, Titanic, the Abyss and now T2 get hilariously disrespected.

David Lynch walked out of a Bob Dylan concert. People are walking out of the Avatar sequel. Deal with it. Bro. I always thought he peaked at Terminator 1 it's all the WWF action nuts that kept wanting more Aliens/Rambo2or 3 was it/T2 it got so bad Charlie Sheen upped them all in Hot Shots Part Duex. I guess you were'nt there bro.

Are u some type of film snob that believes only their opinion is right? 1st point was irrelevant and 2nd point was conjecture. 3rd point was just rambling nonsense.

Charlie sheen upped them?

T3 is in no way a better film than T2. I just find it more entertaining. Judgment Day is an incredibly bleak film. T3 doesn't take itself too seriously, which is why, if given the choice, I'd choose it over T2. The first film blows them all away though. Just my personal preference.

Fair enough. I respect that.

I think the first two Terminator films are equally excellent. When I watch the first one, I invariably watch the second one shortly thereafter.

Speaking of "invariably", whenever a movie makes a ton of money and earns a lot of critical acclaim, there is always a backlash against it. I wonder why that is. Oh well.

^This. In spite of T2 having many great scenes (when Sarah escapes the hospital room only to confront the terminator in the elevator) and fantastic set pieces, The Terminator went from a terrifying unstoppable killing machine to Uncle Bob, and that changed up the whole dynamic of the series.

Yea but you gotta remember that he isnt THE Terminator in this film, The T-1000 is. And he is every bit as scary and unstoppable as the OG.

Such a great film but I had a traumatic experience last night. Watched it on the 77-incher, the biggest screen I've ever seen it on, and saw a crew member clear as day at the end when the terminator first rises from the fiery truck explosion He clearly is pulling the level that causing the terminator to rise up from the waist. All the times from VHS, to DVD and now Blu-ray I never saw that guy before but this time he was clear as day. I nearly caught this in Jersey City 14 years ago in 35mm but had to cancel

Titanic ridicule I'd give one a pass on, but Aliens, The Abyss and T2? They lose all credibility at that point...

I'll have you know I've hated Aliens and T2 long before kids these days started dunking on him for overtaking their Marvel Cinematic Whatchamacallits!!

So what was the rumor again about this one and 4K? Was it a case that someone wanted to license but they wouldn't allow inclusion of the mono or was it about regrading? I am to the point I prefer the new grading over old, overall. I do think the outdoor scenes look odd but the night scenes and interiors I am pretty fine with. A 4K of this would be fine with me as long as they included the mono (one of the versions at least) as an alternate track, like how the old Special Edition DVD did it.

Neither had I and I’ve seen this film God knows how many times. Big screens are not always a blessing

Stuck in limbo due to the Cameron approval clause.

A boutique had it, dropped it when Cameron had to approve a new video master. Kino does not want it because of that so they never had it. Shout/Scream ran into this problem with Piranha II.

Maybe MVD could release it under their MVD Marquee line using the existing materials & supplements as that is the purpose of the line. Or MGM could be talking to Cameron for a new scan to be distributed by Warner. It would make sense to have a Cameron event when Avatar 2 releases on DVD and Blu-ray.

T3 is one big jokey-wink ride until one of the bleakest of bleak endings ever. I'm surprised the studio had the stones to do it, and that the film itself doesn't get more credit for it.
