Any ideas? Is it a promo code or something?
They have a loyalty program. You may have earned enough points with that purchase to get a discount code.

Got it now. I spent a voucher instead of points (after trying to decide which to use), and those points have been converted into a voucher to use later

American Pie 2
Witchfinder General
Project A

The latter must be a US release, unless the Eureka licence expired? Or perhaps a 4K edition? I would shit in a cup for that.

Pretty sure Irongod has mentioned about a Project A 4K set coming at some point. I’d be surprised if Eureka’s license for it has expired though; more than likely going to be a US release with Eureka handling the U.K. release.

Thought somebody else on here previously said none of these companies would bother doing a 4K release of any Jackie films with a 2k remaster, which is what Project A 1 and 2 had. I think it’s more likely 88 is just doing a US blu-ray release of the 2.

Ah you may be correct. It was a while ago when that discussion took place to be fair

Project A 4K talk does ring a bell. Might just be a US BD, though. The only specific thing I remember is mention of Part II's export cut being upgraded to HD; I may have just assumed it was a Eureka 4K upgrade a la Police Story.

Already have the LE Eureka release of Project A/A2, so it would need a new restoration for me to double-dip.

Witchfinder General already has a decent release, so it needs some amazing new extras or on 4K.

Could definitely do with a new 4K restoration, given the current transfer is pretty old now.

88 seem to be grabbing everything they can from Screenbound. I certainly wouldn't say no to a nice 4K UHD deluxe edition of Blood on Satan's Claw.

There's a chance that the subs for Project A II might be improved if I have the time.

I'm hoping to undo some of the unauthorised changes made to the Eureka release.

No promises, though...

I was going to take advantage of the 15% off coupon and order some stuff on Monday, but geesus, 25 quid for shipping to the U.S.? It wasn't that much during their last sale. Pass. I went the Amazon UK route instead.

A new transfer of Project A II without the weird blue filter on the outdoor scenes at the police academy would be nice.

Yeah, a few of these recent remasters do skew a bit blue in certain scenes. I remember some parts of Miracles having the same sort of thing going on.

I think I found the specific instance you're talking about; in this case it looks like it was graded to make the bit in the background that's in direct sunlight look neutral, while the foreground looks cooler because it's in the shade. The Miramax transfer takes the opposite approach (grading the foreground neutral), while the sunlit background is very yellow. https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x...7&l=0&i=0&go=1

That's it, same thing happens on THE PROTECTOR.

Weird that they do this, but then leave off the day-for-night colour timing on titles like HAND OF DEATH and SPIRITUAL KUNG FU.
