Well, to me Burial Ground is a snooze-fest. I watched a 35mm print of it a couple of months ago, and I could hardly stay awake.

Zombi Holocaust, OTOH, I am rather excited about. Hope it will turn out better than the US release.

Replying to Baka's post on the last page about the four slasher titles. Have in my mind which titles I'd like the four slasher titles to be, any of the following films - Blood and Lace, Edge of the Axe, Fatal Games, Home Sweet Home and Phobia. I'd like Nightkill to be released by 88 Films, but this title appears to be stuck in rights limbo.

They wouldn't be released as part of the Slasher Classics Collection, but would the Ally Sheedy film Fear and the early 90's slasher Mirage be titles 88 Films might be interested in releasing on DVD and Blu-ray if the UK rights were available?

Away from the slasher genre, if Arrow have no plans to release them on Blu-ray, and if there are no plans to release them on Blu-ray in Germany (of what I've seen so far from testing the disc out, the German Blu-ray transfer of the Roger Moore film The Naked Face looks quite good), I'd like 88 Films to release the films Best Seller, Blue Steel (the Jamie Lee Curtis thriller), The Boost and Cop on Blu-ray.

Hopefully, if the remake of The Town That Dreaded Sundown does well at the cinema, then maybe 88 Films might release the original on Blu-ray. I might end up getting Shout's Blu-ray release if 88 Films don't release it, and if a German label doesn't release it on Blu-ray.

... nice to see an Italian focus on a sub-label, and I hope we won't see much retreading of films released numerous times in numerous countries, & instead get some decent things many would want but haven't had subbed or dubbed releases of them made available to them yet.

Ulp, I hadn't even thought of that. That would be even worse than Toolbox Murders.

If they're gonna be releasing plenty of Italian horror, I really hope they can release 'Spider Labyrinth'...such an underrated movie easily on a par with the work of Bava & Argento.

In for Splatter University. Not seen Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers in years so memory is vague, but IIRC I didn't think much of it.

This is amazing news, my only concern is with Slaughterhouse. Will it have the altered soundtrack that many people have been talking about it?

I don't actually own any 88 Films Blu-rays, despite having my eye on Bloodsucking Freaks and Tourist Trap for a while now, but these Slasher Classics look tasty. I'm definitely getting Don't Go in the Woods because it's a nasty, but the other titles look interesting, too.

I was just about to ask that. Slaughterhouse is the only of the four I'm interested in.

I'll be buying the lot. Best is Scalps IMO, worst Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers.

I never in a million years thought Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers would get a blu-ray release. I love 88 Films.

Shame Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-o-rama didn't have a HD upgrade.
