great in one way, awful in another, as Code Red's way of donig really small print runs, and selling them directly online themselves often make getting thier releases a pain.

There is no confirmation for this one at the present day, it's a possibility only. The fact to place it in the database will just create problem again as people will use that to trash Code Red as usual. Also Code Red had zero plan of releasing Don't Go in the Woods and The Last Chase on blu-ray, so it would be a bright idea to delete them from the database as it will never happen.

I don't know who add those three but adding unconfirmed and will not happen entry in the database isn't the greatest idea.

I read somewhere that there's 11 minutes of footage missing from all previous home video releases of JUST BEFORE DAWN. Since Bill is working from the interneg is it safe to think that his version will be fully uncut? Even if he decides not to go Blu with it (which wouldn't make any sense since he said he was "sparing no expense" mastering in HD), if we get the fully uncut version I'll be very happy. I think the film might end up being Code Red's best-selling title to date.

Screen Archives only does 3000 and they have only sold out like 4 titles? If codered does do a limited run I would think that 50,000 would be more than enough to please everyone and he would have like 49,000 left over
My post was a joke...100,000 would be ridiculous, and so would 50,000!

Yep, a total joke...and slap in the face to the fans.

Tried working out a purchase of some titles not listed on his site and he never followed up with me after a 2nd email confirming the total amount and where to send payment... Guess I could try again but thought it was odd.

As long as the cost isn't crazy I'd be tempted to pick these up even if Nailgun Massacre is by far one of the worst films ever made. Suprised it wasn't released by Troma.

Yeah, Just Before Dawn is an absolute classic. One of the absolute best. Hopefully it will be coming to blu-ray.

I didn't add it other the others you mentioned into the database.

As for no confirmation.. that's what I thought, at first, but then hit google and came across info from several sites saying it was coming to Blu-Ray.

As well as this from the Code Red's blog "And finally the biggest announcement is JUST BEFORE DAWN, and this time it's nice and clean and in HD, as I spared no expense to do this one right from the original interneg."

What are the typical rates for Code Red dvds and shipping? I hope these releases won't be too expensive...

Best answer I can give you is to check their store as it's the only way to get them. Personally I'm fine with the price as they are limited pressing (Twillight Time print a lot compare to them...) and the shipping isn't costly at all (compare to what I usually pay to import from the USA) and fast.

P.S : click on all if you want to see all the titles and their price.

Sorry I didn't see your reply when you did it...

When I say it was not confirmed my words don't come from some websites or forums, but the owner directly. Of course I don't see why Just Before Dawn wouldn't be release on blu-ray, but I can tell you there is zero chances to see any titles released previously on DVD by them getting a release on other format.

They weren't that expensive. That surprised me. And the shipping was only about 3 bucks. I'm perfectly fine ordering direct.

One question though, is it confirmed that these will be limited in the sense that it will be like a Limited Edition (similar to Twilight Time releases) or just a small number of pressings at a time? If that made any sense at all... Thanks.

Apparently Bill has said Just Before Dawn hitting Blu depends on how well The Electric Chair sells on Blu. Kind of strange to decide the fate on possibly the biggest title the company has ever had hitting Blu on sales of a title without much fanfare and that was a freebie (Although cut) on the Something Weird Axe DVD. Shouldn't it have been the other way around!? See how well Just Before Dawn sells on Blu that start taking a chance with smaller titles?

Unfortunately with Code Red every title is limited and there is no set number. One day a title will be for sale, the next day it's selling for ridiculous numbers on eBay. Bill doesn't announce when a title is getting low, nor does he announce how limited said title is. You unfortunately just have to buy every title as it's released or risk not getting it. It's not like Twilight though where you have to pre-order the title. Most releases take a month or two to sell out if they do.

It has an average rating of 3.9 from only 72 users on IMDB and will undoubtedly sell at best a few hundred copies, thereby ensuring that Just Before Dawn receives no Blu-ray release. You'd think he would have learned from the failure of Midnight Legacy not to release an obscure and terribly reviewed film as your debut flagship title on BD, but I guess not.

Wow, sounds fantastic

That sucks. Maybe someone can try convince him of how many people actually want Just Before Dawn, rather than the Electric Chair

Hopefully Bill was just saying that to boost the sales of "The Electric Char"?
It would be a good plan. Lol.

However, I know that I'll be picking up any and all Code Red movies on Blu-ray.
I never bought even one single dvd through them, but Bill can have my word that I'm picking up "The Electric Chair", and especially "Nail Gun Massacre", (which is certainly going to sale more that that other movie that I've never heard of, and a good half of horror fans haven't either)!

But I'd really love to get "Just Before Dawn". I have it on dvd, so do most horror fans (the only market that Code Red really targets), so why would I rebuy it on dvd?! I'm BLU or no sale on ALL Code Red titles.
