A brief discussion of upcoming titles, from this Rock! Shock! Pop! interview from Severin founder David Gregory:

Dead Kids is the original title of Strange Behavior, yes. New HD transfer from the negative which looks great. We shot a new interview with Craig Reardon for it too, his first head FX gig before going on to Funhouse, Poltergeist, Goonies etc etc. He’s unearthed some great hitherto unpublished stills from his archives. Also recorded a commentary with director Michael Laughlin. Another Ozploitation flick Thirst will be released concurrently. We’ll have the Ozploitation Trailer Explosion coming out at the same time on Intervision. Another reason we’re trying to raise awareness on nasties on House on Straw Hill is that we’ll be releasing Video Nasties The Ultimate Guide, a multi disc set put together by Nucleus films in the UK. Then when the remake of Patrick, which by all accounts so far is awesome, hits screens, we’ll release the original on Blu.

Received my big box Expose VHS yesterday, and it looks awesomely vintage. Definitely brings back video store memories! I wish more studios would do VHS-BD combos like this. Dark Sky did a retro House of the Devil VHS-DVD combo, but no BD version. The full-length 'Ban the Sadist videos!' doc should be fun viewing as well. Severin, like BU, was silent for a sizable period, but both labels seem to be back in business as of late.

I watched The Sister of Ursula last night and woah they really went all out on that one.

Definitely not a great Giallo but I would buy it if they put it out on blu.

I am excited to see Severin back in the swing of things; probably more enthusiastic about their output that Blue Underground's so far. Plus Severin has some great bonuses, I'm jealous you got a limited edition 250 count Expose VHS.

I was afraid that the company's overemphasis of Birdemic (Severin shipped out way too many copies of this on both formats) killed the company. But luckily, they are still alive and kicking.

Did it come in the same package as the Blu-ray? I received my BD in the mail today, but there was no VHS copy. I double checked my order at their website, and it states that the VHS was part of the order. But it's MIA so far.

My VHS copy was a separate package. I did receive them both on the same day.

Plus you get the 93-minute Video Nasties doc, the DVD of which also includes a brief featurette on censorship.

To clarify, the first 3000 copies of the BD will include the bonus doc, the first 300 copies (only available through Severin's site) include the big-box VHS and the bonus doc (it's actually two parts). The site review is up now.

Not yet. I received an email from Severin 2 days ago (10/8) saying my copy had shipped (I'm in NY). hot nights of linda took about 7 business days to arrive so I'm guessing the same time frame for Straw Hill. I thought seven days was a bit long, though. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with the VHS tape but it's cool to have I guess.

Yes, I received mine here in Virginia last week, but I pre-ordered mine a whiletime back when NoirFan first mentioned the VHS exclusive.
