If any film needs a new transfer and release, Day Of The Animals is that film.
The DVD release was taken from a print that looked like it went through a meat grinder.
The BD will be interesting to see just for the leap in quality.

Interesting. I thought that the Nucleus release of Death Ship was from the only avalible or the best quality negatives, which I've heard we're pretty poor. Curious to see what the PQ will be like on this.

Also with Day Of The Animals and Grizzly, I understand that they were released before by these companies I think, so would they be able to use at least those extras?

Also any sign of a release date?

Not sure about the extras being carried over. The DVD releases were put out by Media Blasters.

Oh so a different company? Alright, guessing they'll be barebones then. Honestly I have no problems with bare bones as long as the transfers good and they aren't asking a ridiculous price *ahem* Twilight Time *ahem*

Some of the extras will carry over, thanks.

And here is the cover art for GRIZZLY, and not to worry for those who like the original iconic poster, it will be reversible with that art as well.

Count me in for Grizzly, for sure. And I'm pleased to hear that Girly is a possibility as well. It would make my day if Humongous and The Carpenter had the slightest chance of making it to the format as well.

Any possibility of ONE DARK NIGHT being cleaned up and reissued on Blu? I assume Scorpion has the rights since it's listed among the Camelot library. So is WITHOUT WARNING but people keep insisting MGM controls the video rights.

I hope they put some effort in these releases and don't just give us barebones discs. Yes the picture and audio is the most important thing but extras are a huge bonus for me! They should look at the praise Scream Factory is getting for giving their titles the effort they deserve and do these releases right. If they are going to be barebones they should be in the $10-$15 range tops, with extras $20-$25 is reasonable.

Grizzly and Day of the Animals are great movies, and I have been wanting to see Death Ship for a while now.

If they are looking at some of their old catalog to throw on Blu, my recommendations would have to be: House on Sorority Row, The Devil's Men/ Terror, Final Exam, Savage Streets, Where the Boys Are '84, The Hearse, Joysticks, Survivor, Mortuary, and Humongous.

I believe Diabolik DVD had Death Ship on Pre order for $18.99, and if you Pre order from them you go into the draw to win a Thai poster of the movie.

It's nice to know that the original cover art is on the reverse side, but that is pretty nice too.

DEATH SHIP may have sailed out of port already, but is there any chance that any of those extras from Nucleus could be included?
