Even though I've seen it at least a hundred times over the last 20 years, I still get chills when that little S.O.B. pops out of the lake at the end of the 1st Friday.

I just wish they would think outside the box a little. Having Jason X time travel to war against Jason 2 feels miles outside the box.

I remember in middle school, I read a couple of those teen Friday the 13th books. The first one, called "Mother's Day", was actually quite entertaining. It was about Crystal Lake and how years later locals still talk about Jason. A hunter in the woods finds a hockey mask, not knowing it belonged to Jason Voorhees, he puts it on and becomes possessed by Jason and proceeds to dig up his mother's head which barks out orders at him, mainly to kill the teenagers camping near the old Crystal Lake grounds. I guess it did use the device of the hockey mask much like the body swapping worm in JGTH but I like the idea of the cursey hockey mask better and loved that it brought back Jason's mom. I had kinda hoped that they would adapt it into a sequel but that obviously never happened.

If only this were released in the US it would have saved me a lot of money.

People don't wanna see no cursed object,(That sounds like something straight out of the Friday The 13th TV Show) People don't wanna see someone else dressed up as Jason.
[Show spoiler]Seeing how well Part 5 went over with Roy.
People go to see Jason in a Friday The 13th movie. Almost like having a Nightmare On Elm Street movie with no Freddy or a Halloween movie without Michael Myers. Refer to Halloween III for my point.

Most if not all just want a rinse, rather and repeat film. Which is why I don't get why people complained about F13 09 when it was alot like the first couple films except it was updated for modern times.

It might not get a US release soon, but I'll bet it (and the other individual double feature discs) will be released in other areas, cheaper to import to the USA.

I must not be a person then because bringing Jason's mom's head back and having the cursed mask would be something I would like to see. And I liked 5.

Would people really care if the person was wearing the Jason mask and became Jason? It would be unlike 9 in that you still have the iconic mask and it would be unlike 5 as it is Jason. Cast Kane Hodder or any other Jason actor you wish as the hunter and there would be not much difference once the mask is on. Pay Betsy Palmer some decent money for the voice of the head and I'd personally be pretty excited because it all started with her!

They should do a prequel movie showing Jason and his mom working together back in the 60s or 70s, so by the time the 80s roll around, we know that Jason was alive and kicking.

I thought I heard a while back (late last year) that they were going to make another Friday the 13th movie and they wanted to get Corey Feldman to play his role again but at an older age. If this is true, it wont be in this set!! Oh, no!

Corey should be married to Ginny. and he and Ginny and Paul go back to Crystal Lake.

1. Even Without Mikey, HALLOWEEN 3 was a fantastic film. I think it gets more and more popular with fans every year. That theme for the TV ad is impossibly catchy.

2. I am a huge Friday fan and I loved the remake. Yeah it had a few flaws, the whole brother-sister stuff was pretty dumb. Giving screen time to Mr. Supernatural took away from the main group of more likable kids, and Jason holding somebody hostage? Really?

But besides that, it was the best New Line ever had and probably as good as say part 7 to me. Julianna Guill's naked body was some kind of perfection. Travis van Winkle had the douche of the film down pat...Jason looked cool and not the beast man he became in Hell/X. I thought the opening scene was pretty fantastic, especially how it ran up to the title with Jason running at the sister.

I am not a fan of remakes, but besides say Dawn Of The Dead, it's probably the only other good remake I have seen in the last few years.

HE himself always has wanted to play Tommy again, but he also wants a Goonies sequel and Warner wouldn't give him either...sadly.

I know one of the more popular first drafts of FREDDY vs JASON had Tommy, and Alice from Elm Street 4-5, coming back to help teens fight them or something. I always wanted that version, but they scraped it for the version we finally got.

If I was in charge of the Friday The 13th or Elm Street films, Tommy and Alice WOULD be returning.

I think the Friday fans would go nuts to see Tommy return again somehow. I would.

PS...I'm pretty sure Paul is dead. I know the ending to Part 2 is messed up, but I think many have said he did die, it just never got filmed.

Wasn't Part II based there too??? I know parts 3-4 were in some other areas, as was part 5, then Part 6 went back to the camp. 7 was again away from the camp, but on the same Lake? Part 8 was on said lake for the first few kills, then on a tanker of course.

Part II was at some counselor training center nearby - in fact the camp was actually closed because of the murders in the first one, and two of the counselors (the specific names escape me) get in trouble for heading into the campgrounds (if I remember correctly, it's the spear-through-the-bed couple)

Uber Jason fighting Hillbilly Jason would have surely been something to see. What would have been Jason's motive for going after himself unless he just doesn't remember from all the brain damage he had sustained over the years. If Uber Jason inflicted damage on Hillbilly Jason would Uber Jason feel it instantaneously or would it be as if it never happened to him because of his healing factor/regeneration factor?

They considered putting a hockey mask in the store, or having an episode about that... that would have been a way to connect the show to the movies, but they decided against it.

I'm actually considering holding off on this. We already know another F13 film will be released in the next year or so, and it'd be really lame to have this set plus the new one. If this were just the original series it'd be cool, but to see F13 12 Film Collection and then F13 Pt. II (assuming its a sequel to the remake) seems pointless.

Using that logic, one should never buy any movie series set, as they can always: reboot, remake, or continue with the series.

No thanks! I don't mind jumping on at this point. I'll revisit when another F13 film is made.

The newer movies are usually trash though, especially with a series like this. I'd rather have the older better movies.
