Anybody that isn't going to buy the set but is interested in the 5/6 disc, I'll be selling it on ebay by itself after I verify it works correctly.

I'm not propositioning anyone, just letting people know that they can probably assemble the set together on ebay...at least the discs.

That would be awesome and Amy Steel did mention at one point that she wants to come back and do another movie, along with some of the other characters that survived. I'd love Amy Steel to make a return, as she was my favourite "survivor". She always regreted not coming back for Part 3.

I also watched Slice and Dice: Slasher Film Forever doco and Corey Fieldman was interviewed and he mentioned that he love to come back as Tommy Jarvis and continue that story on. That would also be cool.

I think the ship has sailed for making true sequels to the older FT13th movies. We are now in reboot/sequels territory.

Maybe Tommy somehow locates Ginny and Paul, and they all decide to return to Crystal Lake to kill Jason once and for all? You could have flashbacks to all the other movies. Maybe even bring back Sargent Dorf, and a relative of Ralph!

Did I miss them confirming it will definitely only be anaglyph?

No, but really, do any of us really think it will be blu-ray 3D? If it was, wouldn't they have made a big announcement about that? I hate to admit it, but I think we all pretty much know that it will just be the old anagylph transfer, complete with mis-alignment and the non-3D opening titles that were meant to be in 3D.

Thanks - is there a shipping charge if you order through them? Amazon of course there is no shipping charge.

They may be in the process of doing tests to see how good it looks in proper 3D, or to get an idea of how costly it would be. But you're probably right.

It just baffles me that the studios try to ram 3D down our throats every way they can, but when they have the opportunity to sell a 3D product to a dedicated audience that is actually asking for it, suddenly it's too much work/money.

In fact, f*** it, if this set doesn't have the 3D version, I won't buy it. A few have said the same over at HTF. I hope you're listening Paramount.

I fear you're right mar3o and that's a deal breaker for me. I'll wait until I can purchase part 4 & 5 separately and that will wrap it up for me.

I mean, it's called a "reboot" for a reason. If the creators wanted to blaze their own path, they might've been a bit more daring. Instead they wanted to have their cake and eat it too, it seems, but they manage to capture none of the charm or atmosphere of the series' first films.

I think that's what's so frustrating about the remake. They've got all these elements that should work -- I mean, it's not exactly rocket science -- but it falls utterly flat. Too many poorly written characters being acted into oblivion by people who look like they belong in Orange County, zero scares, zero mood, and no sense of pace.

If the next one's anything like this, better it's not made.
This +1

The entire thing felt anemic.

Personally, I think it would have been cool if they changed the backstory up a bit. Maybe Jason never drowned but was viciously bullied by the kids near the camp where he lived. One day, his mom snaps and starts killing them off and maybe have Jason help. Or have Ms. Voorhees and Jason live isolated out in the woods and have a new camp open nearby and have the kids stumble across the house and .. Jason, a blood thirsty mongoloid who lives with his overprotective mom. Or Jason was horribly disfigured in a camping prank and his Mom is getting revenge. The ending of the story could end with his Mom dying just like the original and then Jason becoming the sole killer in the sequel that is structured similarly to the original series - just with the backstory slightly altered. I think it would have been more interesting, surprising and creepy.

It would also make more sense why Jason and his mom avenge one another. I mean it never made sense why Ms. Voorhees killed all those kids when her son was obviously still alive.

They sort of alter the story in Part 2 when they say that Jason would be an older man stalking campers. But still, how would those campers even know who Jason was unless they heard the back story about Mrs.Vorhees. Even the kids in the first movie in the present day story didn't know about Jason or Mrs. Vorhees. If only Annie had lived to tell them the story she heard from the trucker, they might have fled the camp.

Just read on another site that Warner has confirmed they are using the 2D and 3D anaglyph version of Friday the 13th 3D including two cheap glasses. I find it completely unacceptable that Warner didn't take the time to give us true HD 3D. This was one of the best 3D movies that was release back in the 80's and the anaglyph version is just unwatchable!
