This was one of the best 3D movies that was release back in the 80's and the anaglyph version is just unwatchable!
Yeah that is definitely a bummer. Still, to get the entire collection for around $75 is a no brainer if you ask me.

Are they like amazon and don't charge your card until the order has shipped? Just would like to know because my bank is closed and I have no clue how much is on my card at the moment

I'm not sure how well it would work but I'm suprised they haven't bothered to try making a f13 movie from Jason's point of view. Like tucker and sale vs. evil except without making Jason out to be innocent all along. It would be cool to see things from his perspective.

For those who missed it, the Digital Bits confirmed with WB that part 3 will be the old red/blue 3d version (plus 2d, of course).

That sucks but is not unexpected. Still probably going to pick up this set though. Don't have any of the films.

Looks like they would have also found out what version of Jason Goes To Hell would be in the set.

From WBshop How to Order:
Quote:
When you purchase a product from WBshop.com, your contract to purchase will not be complete and no contract will be formed until WBshop.com sends you an email letting you know that the item(s) you've ordered have been shipped to you.

If you use your debit card to pay for your order, please keep in mind that items are billed when shipped and funds must be available in your account at that time.

Picked this up with Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome for a cool $74.76 after coupon stacking. Definitely a price I can live with!

It's not Warner's call. It's only a distribution deal, so they have to work with what is available to them, just like all other 3rd party distributors like Twilight Time, Shout, Anchor Bay, Criterion, etc.

Paramount does not have the master required to do this. Even if Warner wanted to release it this way, they would have had to foot the bill for a completely new transfer.

Paramount's not going to spend the money on something that very little to no financial value to them. - Outside of Blu-ray 3D, there's no after market for 3D catalog. Especially as the remaining 3D broadcast channels are shut down over the next 18 months. (Sorry guys, ESPN3D's shut down is the beginning of the end for 3D broadcasting.)

Feel fortunate that you're getting Amityville 3D in the Scream Factory Set. (Due to Sony/MGM's previous relationships, I bet Sony actually paid for the new master, so they would have some content for their 3D Direct TV Channel.)

It sucks for 3D enthusiasts, but that's the financial reality of the situation.

Cancelled my Amazon pre-order and got this from WBshop using the promo code instead. My total including tax was $75.23. I seriously doubt it will be any cheaper when the set is released.

I love how a lot of us are going to be enjoying this set while other people will not be buying it and will be sobbing just because part 3 isn't in the 3D that they want.

I have 1,2,3, FVJ, and The Remake on Blu. I will just continue to enjoy the rest of the series on DVD with my player and TV upscaling them.
