A bummer the WB coupon no longer works, still a great deal ~$80.
This set is going to look great next to my preordered autographed Crystal Lake Memories w/exclusive disc set.
2013 is the year of the 13th alright!

Hey it's a couple o' Ricks!

Yeah for $114 I'm getting: 12 films, a day's(24 hours) worth of bonus material, 25-30 autographs, a cool collectible tin.....AND THE PATCH!!!!
That's less the $6/film, and approx $2/hour of bonus material, and approx. $1.70/autograph....AND THE PATCH!!!!

Sounds good to me!

Pt. 2 is my favorite, followed closely by Final Chapter. There's just something about that one-eyed sack.

Just watched Part 2. This is one of the best entries in the franchise. I love this film. Ginny is also the best final girl in the series imo. The last 15 minutes are great. So suspenseful and scary. Jason rocks with that sack over his head lol. The atmosphere is amazing throughout the entire movie. The opening scene alone has me on the edge of my seat every single time.

Also on a sidenote: did anyone else notice that basically all the Friday girls are amazingly hot and very pretty? Not just the main girls, but all girls.

Also watched part 5. I like this movie quite a bit. It's a lot of fun, since it's unintentionally funny at times. Pam is friggin hot and damn, those titties of Tina haha. The only thing that sucks about this film is its twist ending.

I hope the original Friday the 13th is indeed the theatrical R rated cut and not the unrated cut. The R rated cut is much more effective, IMO.

As for JGTH... not a good movie either way, so....

I heard that so many times regarding part 1. I still haven't seen the R rated version yet, but I want to.

As for JGTH. I like that movie. It is actually a really good one. But the gore effects make this film. They are the highlight of this movie. And the R rated cut is simply unwatchable.

I'll have to avoid this thread for a while, but it's tough, since I keep checking to see if official specs were announced yet and see nothing but the annoying cycle of 'debate' spinning off the rails.

In that regard, I did email Warner Bros themselves earlier in the week. I figure it's the least I could do, and I also inquired about Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and made it clear, we want both R & Unrated versions of the films that had such releases.

As for 'more work' having to be done if the R versions of the original film and Jason Goes To Hell are included. I doubt it, since HD masters of the theatrical cuts probably already exist for cable airings and such. And sometimes commentaries from one version have been ported over to another, such as Scream for example. Sure that only has a few second difference, but you hear the filmmakers describing the uncut scenes and talking about the MPAA troubles. Yet only the cut R version of that film exists on dvd and blu-ray. So there is a small chance the commentary from JGTH could be included on the R version. Since if there is enough 'dead space' in the track, they could delete those, thus matching the theatrical running time, or they just cut portions of the commentary out to match the running time, or they left the commentary play out in full over a black screen after the end credits.

Everyone can we please stop the arguing? It is not helping anything. If we must vent our anger, please go to Warner Bros. Entertainment's Facebook page like I did and ask them the questions you want/demand to be answered. Not WBShop but Warner Bros. Entertainment. I assume they will see it. Just let all your frustrations be known to them. They will not see it in this thread.

As I said earlier, I apologize for any remarks I made before about others should be glad this is even being released and stop complaining. I understand everyone is different and want/like different things. Everyone has a right to want different things in this set. And we should ALL let Warner Bros. know this. That way, if they get enough backlash, they will probably do something differently to make it better for us all. I still have my pre-order with Amazon and will keep it. But, I understand there are others who feel differently. Let Warner Bros. hear your voice and tell them how disheartened you are. Don't be rude. But let them know you are not pleased with what the specifications are.

Just my 2 or 3 cents.

Warner Bros you really need to address the 'Friday the 13th' Blu-ray collection arguments that have started on sites. There are fans all over the internet cancelling their pre-orders because of the specs that were listed...namely Rated R version of Part 1 and Jason Goes To Hell. And of the course Part 3 being Anaglyph. But, it's mainly the specs saying Part 1 is Rated and Jason Goes To Hell is Rated. I mean, I have the set pre-ordered from Amazon and will keep my pre-order regardless but, I'm just telling you what is going on. These specifications are causing ALOT of heated debates. Please make an OFFICIAL specifications announcement directly from you WARNER BROS. Not WBShop.

And I would like to say, that I apologize to anyone on here if I said you should just be happy to have this or that with this set. You have a right to feel any way that you do and it's not for me to say you should like it and shut up. I understand what the concerns are. I would have loved to have a True 3D Blu-ray of Part 3. But, for me, I am happy they are being released to begin with. But, even though I have an uncut Blu-ray Part 1, I still would PREFER this set to have Friday the 13th (1980) UNCUT and Jason Goes To Hell (UNCUT). But if they are not, I am still keeping my pre-order.

But I don't want to argue with anyone. Just wanted to say this to my fellow Blu-ray.com friends.
Nice post, and thank you.

I agree - we all want a great set, it's just that some of us have a different idea of what would make a great set as opposed to what others would consider a great set. That's okay - that's what happens with these products. You can't please everyone after all. But I think that considering all the comments, it's obvious the similar areas of concern point to a few key areas that have many of us a bit worried (3D, rated/unrated cuts/extras, packaging, etc.)

I agree the hostility needs to evaporate in here.

Well...yes I suppose all that is true Although I would say with the original it would be more work because the uncut version is already pressed and being sold. Pressing a brand new disc that has the same exact extras but has the theatrical cut is just going to cost them money to press more discs and I can't imagine why they would do it. It's clear they are dead set against spending more money on this set. However you do have a point about JGTH.

I would say THE best. How ruthless to put a
[Show spoiler]machete in the face
of a disabled kid??? Let's not forget about the
[Show spoiler]spear thru the bed
! One of the great shots is where she
[Show spoiler]finds his shack and the viewer sees Jason running up, thru the window, before she does
. And I can't tell you how many time I've gotten guests with that ending! This, and pt. 3, seems to have the best chase finales. They were actually tense. Something that was lost going into the Final Chapter, IMO.
