I preordered when I saw the announcement last month. My two IB Technicolor 35mm film strips (12-frame segments from two different scenes) arrived in today's mail with a note thanking me for the preorder and stating that the finished set is expected to ship sometime in November.

Really looking forward to having all the shorts in HD as much as a proper HD edition of GULLIVER'S TRAVELS!

Pre-ordered this as well and the film strip is on the way.

I've never seen this but I wanted to support the effort. I hope it's worth it, cause the price was a bit steep ($19 + 14,29 shipping).

Do we know if this is gonna be region free?

Received my film strips today with the letter as well. One actually has Gulliver picking himself up off the beach. Pretty cool - how are you "protecting" or planning on preserving the strips?

I'll definitely buy this. The original Blu-Ray release was so smeared, it may as well have been a VHS. Not to mention it being stretched to make it widescreen. If any customers wanted to watch it that way, they could just change their TV's settings. I'd be happy enough just to be able to get this new transfer on DVD, so I think it's great that they're putting it on Blu-Ray!

Its not that much of a mess actually
Popeye $ Superman, Warner Bros through AAP
Betty Boop, and the rest is owned by Parmount through twist of Irony.
When it comes down to best possible eliments.
But what is and what isn't PD, is whole another ball game. But MR. Bug is copyrighted protected thus you will have to convince Parmount to release it.

Is this still available for pre-order? The listing is still up on Amazon and I'd love to order it!

I let this sit in my Amazon cart for a long time but, due to this thread, last night I pulled the trigger and bought it. I hope I get the film strips, but I suppose it's not as deal breaker if I don't. Mostly, I want the remastered Gulliver's Travels blu-ray as soon as possible. I had the old version for years and, even though Gulliver's Travels is one of my favorite animations films, I rarely watched that smeary, stretched mess. Anyone know if there's been an update on this recently? I checked the links in the original post and didn't see anything new.

pre-ordered on amazon.
I would think the film strips bonus would still be available, as it doesn't say anything about it being over. still says pre-release pre-order.
very excited about this bd.

I placed my order over two weeks ago, got a shipping notification the next day, and haven't received anything. Don't know if film strips are still being sent or not, but I'd hope if they're not they would update the Amazon product page.

Still very excited about the blu-ray!

Ordered about a month or so ago, and haven't received anything in the mail. Received ship notice about a week or two back. Wondering what's going on.

Hello!

I ordered this item during the pre-release promotion. The description stated that I would be getting the film print n addition to the movie. Shorty after I made the order I was charged and the item was allegedly shipped. I assume that was the film print. This all happened between September 15-16th. I still haven't received my film print, is that normal?

Thanks in advance!

This is an order for the pre-release of Fleischer Classics. You should be getting a strip of original Technicolor film in the mail this week if you didn't already get it, and the DVD /BluRay combo set will be sent when it is finished as listed on the description on Amazon. A handful of people didn't get the film strips, so I'm sending some to you again...
Thanks for your order and for supporting the set- it's going through mastering in the coming week or so and is looking great.

Sincerely,
Steve Stanchfield

Thunderbean sounds like it should be the name of an adult film company. Or maybe and adult film actress. Or maybe an adult film. Sorry for the diversion. Carry on.
